Kit Harington and Peter Dinklage reunited for the first time in seven years for a wide-ranging conversation reflecting on life after Game of Thrones, according to Variety, where both actors spoke candidly about aging, sobriety, and their careers after the hit HBO series ended in 2019.

While the discussion covered many personal topics, one moment that stood out came when Harington spoke openly about his recent work involving more explicit material than before.

Harington, now 39 and starring in HBO’s Industry, said he has found himself repeatedly cast in roles that require nudity and sex scenes. Speaking during the conversation with Dinklage, he admitted the pattern has become noticeable in his recent projects.

“I’m weirdly doing a lot of nudity at the moment, and sex scenes,” Harington said. He added that the experience has made him reconsider whether he wants to continue in that direction long-term. “The more I do it, the more I think, ‘I think I should stop.’ I’ve got to start thinking about my kids, like, ‘Why is Daddy always naked on-screen?’”

The actor, best known for playing Jon Snow in Game of Thrones, said the shift feels different now that he is a parent. He shares children with actor Rose Leslie, who also starred in Game of Thrones. Harington suggested that his growing family life is changing how he views on-screen intimacy and exposure.

Dinklage responded to Harington’s comments with humor, easing the moment while also normalizing the topic. The two actors joked about how nudity in film and television is often treated differently depending on context and character. Dinklage dismissed the idea that it should be a major concern, framing it as something that actors and audiences often overthink.

The conversation between the two also reflected how much both actors’ lives have changed since Game of Thrones ended. Harington revealed that after the series finale, he entered rehab and took time away from acting to focus on his mental health and sobriety. He described the period as necessary for resetting his life and career after years of intense fame.

Since returning to work, Harington has taken on roles that allow him to explore different types of characters, including more emotionally complex and modern stories like Industry. However, his recent comments suggest that he is now also more aware of how far he is willing to go in terms of on-screen exposure.

Dinklage, who played Tyrion Lannister in Game of Thrones and earned multiple Emmy Awards for the role, reflected on how the industry often typecasts actors after major franchises. Both actors discussed how their careers have evolved in unexpected ways since leaving Westeros behind.

Even with the serious topics, the reunion carried a relaxed and familiar tone, with both men joking about their shared history and the unusual experience of growing up on one of television’s biggest shows.

Still, Harington’s remarks about nudity offered one of the most candid moments of the conversation, highlighting how his perspective on acting has changed over time, especially as his personal life and professional choices continue to evolve.
