Geraldine Viswanathan Reveals What Mel Is Doing During the Epic ‘Thunderbolts*’ Post-Credits Scene

The Thunderbolts* are officially here and while the movie is far from perfect, it is being praised by both fans and critics as one of Marvel’s best outings in recent year. The box office numbers are also pretty solid, so it seems that Marvel has another hit on its tally.
There are numerous interesting moments from this movie, but the post-credits scene, one of the longest and most packed ones in Marvel’s history, was truly epic and we would like to talk about that.
In light of that, we have to warn you that the article is going to contain some major spoilers, so be careful how you approach the upcoming paragraphs.
The character we are going to talk about is Mel, who is brilliantly played by Geraldine Viswanathan in the movie. An assistant to Val, Mel is seemingly a very loyal character, but it turns out that she is very clever and that she has an agenda of her own, which is why she reminds us more of a sleeper agent than anything else.
But, while she was prominently featured in the movie, she is notably absent during the post-credits scene. And while the most important moment is the group entering the Watchtower, the former Avengers Tower, as well as the encounter with the Fantastic Four, we cannot but wonder what is going on with Mel.
Due to everything that happened in the movie, we couldn’t but wonder whether Mel was just absent from the post-credits scene or whether she was actually sidelined for good. As it seems, the former is the case, as Viswanathan explained:
She is. Yep. She’s got a little office. She’s got a little coffee machine in there. She’s stepping up. She has a little view. But she’s still striving.
So, based on this, we can expect to see more of Mel in the future, which is certainly very interesting.
