Hailee Steinfeld Opens up About the One Rule Behind Her Marriage With Josh Allen
Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen are showing that even with packed schedules, love still comes first. In a recent issue of her lifestyle newsletter, Beau Society, Steinfeld shared how she and her husband stay close despite their demanding careers in Hollywood and the NFL.
The actress, who married the Buffalo Bills quarterback in May 2025, said their approach to marriage is simple and very intentional. According to Steinfeld, the key is being fully present with each other. She explained that their connection is not built on big surprises or flashy plans, but on everyday habits they refuse to skip.
The couple has two firm rules they always follow: a weekly date night and a no-phones rule for one hour at the end of each day. She admitted the advice may sound familiar, but said it truly works for them and helps protect their relationship.
The source of this insight is Steinfeld’s Beau Society newsletter, where she often writes about personal growth, balance, and relationships. She shared that these small boundaries make a big difference, especially when life feels nonstop.
The couple is also preparing for a major life change. In December 2025, they announced they were expecting their first child. Steinfeld recently showed her baby bump on the red carpet at the 83rd Annual Golden Globe Awards on January 11.
On the same night, Allen was playing in a playoff game, leading the Bills to a 27-24 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Even though he was far away, he shared a photo of Steinfeld’s red carpet look on his Instagram Stories, adding heart-eye emojis in support.
The past few months have been intense for both of them. Steinfeld’s movie Sinners has been a huge success, earning 16 Academy Award nominations. She is now preparing for the 98th Academy Awards on March 15. The film, directed by Ryan Coogler and starring Michael B. Jordan, has helped cement her place as a major force in the industry.
She is also expected to return to the Marvel universe in Young Avengers and will once again voice Gwen Stacy in Spider-Man Beyond the Spider-Verse, which is expected to arrive in 2027.
Allen has been dealing with challenges of his own. On January 29, he revealed that he had surgery to fix a broken fifth metatarsal in his right foot. He played through the injury for the final five games of the season, something his teammates reportedly called a warrior performance. Allen has said he expects to be fully healthy by spring workouts.
The Bills are also entering a new chapter. After their divisional-round loss to the Denver Broncos, the team promoted offensive coordinator Joe Brady to head coach. Allen has publicly supported the move and said he plans to push himself even harder as he nears his 30th birthday in May.
With football, films, and a baby on the way, both stars are balancing big responsibilities. Allen recently shared that becoming a father will be the most important thing he will ever do in his life.
