Haley Lu Richardson turned heads at the Berlin Film Festival this past Friday during a photocall for her new movie Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die. The 30-year-old actress showed off her high energy and playful side by performing headstands, high kicks, and flexible splits right in front of the flashing cameras.

Dressed in a black blazer and shorts with high heels, Richardson combined elegance and athleticism, surprising onlookers who didn’t expect such acrobatics at a formal event. Co-stars Sam Rockwell and Michael Peña laughed at her antics, and director Gore Verbinski even tried to join in, admitting he was no match for Richardson’s moves.

The lively mood at the photocall reflected the bond among the cast. Verbinski told reporters that during filming, the group was constantly joking and singing together rather than retreating to trailers.

Richardson plays a mysterious character named Ingrid in the film, which mixes dystopian comedy with a sci-fi twist. Sam Rockwell stars as a man from the future who recruits a team in Los Angeles to stop rogue AI from causing chaos.

Outside of the film, Richardson has been open about her personal growth in recent years. After ending her engagement to actor Brett Dier in 2020, she spent time rediscovering her independence. She explained, “I once feared my world would stop if that relationship ended. But I learned I’m capable of being on my own and moving forward. It’s been an amazing thing to learn.”

Her busy schedule shows she hasn’t slowed down. She recently starred in the Hong Kong indie drama Zi, which premiered at Sundance in January, reuniting with director Kogonada for a poetic story about a one-night connection that challenges her character’s perspective on the future.

Richardson is also set to appear in the Peacock espionage series Ponies, which takes place in Moscow during the Cold War. She stars alongside Emilia Clarke as two embassy secretaries caught in a web of international intrigue. Beyond acting, Richardson has published a book of poetry and frequently appears on talk shows, where she often shares her love of the Jonas Brothers with fans.

At the Berlin photocall, Richardson proved that her energy and charm extend far beyond the screen. Whether she’s performing acrobatics for the cameras or exploring new creative projects, she continues to capture attention while balancing a full and evolving career.
