If Not Wanda, ‘Agatha All Along’ Could Introduce Another Scarlet Witch: Natalya Maximoff
The show has changed its title so many times that we’re skeptical the current one will last until the premiere. Still, it’s one of the most highly anticipated MCU series. We’re talking about Agatha All Along, set to debut on Disney+ with two episodes on September 18, 2024. The remaining seven episodes will be released weekly until November 6.
Kathryn Hahn is confirmed to reprise her role as Agatha Harkness from WandaVision, and other notable MCU characters are expected to appear. However, fans are still speculating about which additional characters might show up, with Scarlet Witch frequently mentioned among them.
Although the chances of Elizabeth Olsen returning to the show are slim, it doesn’t necessarily mean Scarlet Witch won’t appear in Agatha All Along. Curious how that’s possible? Keep reading to find out!
The Road is wild and wicked, winding through the wood — where all that’s wrong is right and all that’s bad is good. Through many miles of tricks and trials, we’ll wander high and low. Tame your fears, a door appears. The time has come to go down, down, down the road. Down the Witches’ Road. Follow me my friends, to glory at the end.
– The Ballad of the Witches’ Road
This quote is particularly intriguing, especially since the trailer hinted that Agatha All Along will explore the Witches’ Road. The unnamed teen, played by Joe Locke, suggested that Agatha might travel down this mystical path, which opens up a world of possibilities. In the comics, the Witches’ Road is where Wanda and Agatha meet Natalya Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch and Wanda’s mother, adding a compelling new character to the mix.
While the series will introduce several new characters, it’s hard to predict exactly who will appear. As for Wanda, her presence in the show seems unlikely, except perhaps through flashbacks or unused footage from WandaVision. However, this could be a perfect opportunity to expand her story and introduce Natalya to the MCU.
Will this theory come true? It’s uncertain, but we thought you’d find it interesting!
