‘In a World Full of Zombies I’m the Only One Who Doesn’t Get Attacked’ Will Get an Anime Adaptation in 2026

Back in 2013, Rokuro Uraji started the novel series titled Zonbi no Afureta Sekai de Ore Dake ga Osowarenai, which has been officially translated as In a World Full of Zombies I’m the Only One Who Doesn’t Get Attacked. The novel series is still ongoing.
Since its debut, In a World Full of Zombies I’m the Only One Who Doesn’t Get Attacked has been adapted as a light novel and as a manga, and we can now confirm that another adaptation is coming up.
Namely, the In a World Full of Zombies I’m the Only One Who Doesn’t Get Attacked novel series will be getting an anime adaptation that is set to premiere in 2026 on AT-X.
The news was officially confirmed on social media:
As of the moment of writing, save for the visual and a release window, we don’t have any additional information about the adaptation. The voice actors have not been revealed yet, but we assume that more updates will be revealed in the upcoming months.

Takemura, a salaryman who disliked people and worked silently, lost motivation after his company went bankrupt and lived a reclusive life. One day, he is suddenly attacked by a stranger in front of his house and bitten on the arm. He manages to escape to his room, but develops a mysterious high fever and is bedridden for several days. He eventually recovers and tries to return to his daily life, but the world has changed completely in the meantime. Zombies suddenly appear and attack people everywhere. In a civilization that is on the verge of collapse, people can only flee. But for some reason, he is the only one who is not attacked by zombies. How will Takemura use this situation to his advantage, and how will he spend his time? A battle for survival begins in a civilized society that is beginning to collapse.
