Now, a viral clip poking fun at that transition has taken off online, showing Navarrette appearing to struggle through a workout with the caption, “Today I don’t feel like doing anything.” The video has been paired with a tongue-in-cheek caption suggesting she “won’t be able to survive the fitness test for playing Rogue,” playing into the assumption that superhero casting inevitably comes with grueling physical training regimens.

The joke has resonated widely with fans, who’ve spent the past week reveling in just how unexpected Navarrette’s casting felt given her career trajectory up to this point.
