Insider Claims that Lady Gaga Has Also Been Offered a Role in the ‘Guys and Dolls’ Remake

As of September last year, a remake of Guys and Dolls, one of Broadway’s best and most influential musical that was also adapted into a successful Hollywood musical back in 1955, is in the works. The original movie was nominated in four categories at the Oscars, but it did not win any award.
Now, Hollywood is looking to make a remake of the film, which shouldn’t be surprising, seeing how the reboot and remake era is still very much alive. At this moment we don’t know much about the movie, but we do have some rumors.
Recently, it has been reported that Zendaya was offered to play a “lead role” in the movie and now, another casting rumor has surfaced and it is quite interesting.
Daniel Richtman recently reported that Zendaya has been offered a lead role in the movie. The exact role has not been specified, which resulted in fans speculating whom Zendaya could be playing if she does agree to participate in the movie.
Now, another rumor has appeared. Richtman shared, via his Patreon account, that Lady Gaga has also been offered a role in the movie. It hasn’t been specified whether it is a main or supporting role, so we don’t know whom she could be playing either.
But if the rumor proves to be true, it is quite clear why the producers would want Gaga. She is a professional singer and has had some decent roles on the screen, including the one in A Star is Born, where her singing and acting talents really stood out.
In that aspect, landing Gaga for this movie would definitely be a great thing, as she is a proven talent that can handle a role in a major musical. Of course, take this with a grain of salt, as this is only a rumor at this point.
The only thing we know is that Rob Marshall will be directing the movie (replacing Bill Condon), and that he will be co-writing with John DeLuca, along with John Requa and Glenn Ficarra. But, be sure to keep following us because we are going to bring you the latest updates related to the film and its production.
