Insider Reveals What’s Next for Hulk in the Future of the MCU

Share:

The last time we saw the Hulk in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) was in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Since then, the character has been noticeably absent from the big screen. While it’s clear that a solo Hulk project isn’t on the horizon, rumors have been swirling about Bruce Banner’s potential appearance in Captain America: Brave New World.

These speculations gained traction after Mark Ruffalo himself hinted at being involved with the movie before quickly backtracking, claiming he was mistaken.

Marvel Studios recently revealed a list of cast members set to appear in Avengers: Doomsday. Some names, like Vanessa Kirby, Pedro Pascal, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn, were anticipated, given the Fantastic Four’s history with Doctor Doom.

However, other announcements came as a surprise, such as almost the entire Thunderbolts* cast (excluding Taskmaster) joining the film. Additionally, Lewis Pullman’s Sentry has been confirmed.

In a nostalgic twist, Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart are set to reprise their iconic roles, accompanied by James Marsden, Rebecca Romijn, and Alan Cumming.

Notably, Ruffalo’s name was absent from the initial lineup. However, industry insider Alex Perez now claims that the Hulk will appear in both Doomsday and Secret Wars.

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has confirmed that the current cast list is not exhaustive. As marketing ramps up, or even during the movie’s release, more names may be revealed. Some actors are reportedly still negotiating their contracts.

Regardless, it’s highly likely that Ruffalo will reprise his role. Chris Hemsworth has already confirmed his involvement, even sharing a video of his training routine for the role. Additionally, Anthony Mackie will return as Captain America, joined by Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, and Tom Hiddleston.

Reports also suggest we can expect appearances from Jeremy Renner, Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Holland, Hayley Atwell, Wong, and Chris Evans.
