Although created only 20 years ago, which is not a much when comic book characters are considered, Hulkling has become one of Marvel’s most recognizable characters, especially among the younger readers.

Initially envisioned as a female, this shapeshifting character modeled after the Hulk, but who is actually the child of two other characters, later became one of Marvel’s most prominet LGBTQ+ characters.

Now, Hulkling still hasn’t appeared in the MCU, but many fans believe it’s prime time he appeared and they have someone in mind – Kit Connor! In a recent interview, the actor himself commented on the possibility!

Before we continue:

This is the interview with Kit Connor that actually references the possibility of him being cast as Hulkling. We have marked the part of the interview where the role is discussed, but you can watch the whole thing if you have the time, it’s really interesting. But, getting back to the topic.

As you probably know from the comics, Hulkling is known for his high-profile relationship with Wiccan. Wiccan, as you also know, recently appeared in Agatha All Along, and we even know that his MCU boyfriend was initially named Teddy, before becoming Eddie.

As it turns out, the original idea was to introduce Hulkling via the show, but Feige rejected that idea so it was ultimately changed. Since then, Kit Connor has been fancast as Hulkling and we cannot really argue that he does have what it takes.

But, as you can hear in the interview, he is not interested in a superhero role at this point. “Joe [Locke] is doing that, and I’m kind of happy to watch from the sidelines, for a while at least.,” he said, talking about his Heartstopper co-star who also played Wiccan in Agatha All Along.

The future can bring something new, though, and if things change, we’ll be the first one to reveal it to you!
