‘Invincible’ Universe: Battle Beast #1 Sells Almost 400,000 Copies
The new Invincible Universe: Battle Beast #1 comic by Robert Kirkman and Ryan Ottley has sold nearly 400,000 copies. This makes it one of the biggest comic book launches of 2025.
The high sales are due to strong fan interest in Invincible comics and the success of the Invincible animated series on Prime Video. Since 2021, over a million copies of Invincible graphic novels have been sold.
Unlike other big comic launches, Battle Beast #1 didn’t rely on large retailer discounts. Instead, fans and comic stores were drawn to its unique blind bag covers, which contain rare variants and secret content.
The blind bag promotion has attracted both Invincible fans and collectors from Marvel and DC. Some rare covers are expected to be highly valuable, making them a hot item for comic book shops.
Invincible Universe: Battle Beast #1 will be released on May 14, 2025. However, spoilers about the blind bag covers may appear online before then.
