If we look only at the big-screen movies, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is already the biggest franchise of all time, and when we add all the TV shows and comic books that are part of the canon, we get one extremely huge media franchise. Some of the first TV shows that are canonically set in the MCU weren’t made to be so directly involved with the movies like Disney+ shows we have now.

In other words, the fans didn’t need any knowledge from ABC’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Inhumans or Netflix’s Daredevil, Jessica Jones, The Punisher, etc., to stay caught up with the main storyline from the movies. Still, the fans that followed the MCU 100% have met a lot of great characters that the fans who stick only to the movies haven’t been able to meet. The best example is Charlie Cox’s Daredevil, who finally debuted in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Still, many characters were part of the shows, but they still were not acknowledged by the MCU’s main timeline. One of them is Quake, one of the lead characters from ABC’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., who Chloe Bennet played. The question of her potential return to the franchise has been in the air for a while now because rumors are going around that Marvel Studios is planning to totally canonize everything Marvel that was produced before Disney brought everything back under their umbrella. They already canonized Daredevil, so why shouldn’t they do it with the rest of them?

Although some fans might say that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. isn’t officially canonized as a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it doesn’t change the fact that the series is set in the same universe as the MCU movies and Disney+ Marvel shows. While the series acknowledges the continuity of the movies and other television series, that isn’t the case the other way around. So, in theory, Chloe Bennet can reprise the role of Quake, but it’s unknown how likely that will happen. Of course, there have been some rumors about her return, but none of those were officially acknowledged by Marvel Studios or other reliable sources.

What is Chloe Bennet’s history as Quake?

Following the gigantic success of The Avengers in 2012, the movie’s writer and director, Joss Whedon, created Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. alongside Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen. Since Disney+ wasn’t a thing back then, this spin-off series was pitched to ABC television network, which is also the flagship property of the Disney Entertainment division of The Walt Disney Company. The series followed Clark Gregg as Phil Coulson, the character that was killed in The Avengers and then brought back for the show. Interestingly, MCU fans who only watched the movies haven’t realized that Coulson is actually alive since he hasn’t appeared in any movie after his death (apart from Captain Marvel, which is set around 20 years before the events of The Avengers).

The series premiered in September 2013, featuring some special guest stars throughout its seven-season run, including Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, and Hayley Atwell. But apart from Coulson, all the main characters have made their debut in the show and did not appear in any other project set in the MCU. One of those characters is Daisy Johnson, who was introduced as the computer hacker, Skye, played by Chloe Bennet. She was recruited by Coulson and trained by Ming-Na Wen’s Melinda May to become a formidable S.H.I.E.L.D. agent.

Throughout the seasons, we follow Daisy’s character development which eventually reveals her as Inhuman with abilities to manipulate vibrations and create earthquakes. After the death of Lincoln Campbell, Daisy left the S.H.I.E.L.D. to become an Inhuman superhero known as Quake to the public. Later she returned to S.H.I.E.L.D. after the fight against Eli Morrow in the fourth season of the series. Chloe Bennet’s character has certainly left her mark on the franchise as Daisy/Skye/Quake, and the fans really want to believe that she could reprise the role in some MCU project in the future.

In which MCU projects Chloe Bennet might potentially appear in the future?

It’s not like there are no MCU projects in which Bennet might potentially appear as Quake again, but there are also many characters that the franchise needs to handle now, and it’s hard to believe there would really be some space for her in the future. When we look at it, if she would return, our best guess would be in the upcoming Disney+ series Secret Invasion, in which we’ll watch some known faces from S.H.I.E.L.D., including Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill.

Marvel Studios has brought back Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock for Spider-Man: No Way Home and She-Hulk and Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin for Hawkeye. Both of them first appeared as their respective characters in Netflix’s Daredevil, and they’re also both set to appear in the upcoming Disney+ shows Echo and Daredevil: Born Again.

So far, none of the characters introduced in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. haven’t appeared in the movies or Disney+ shows. Still, when we look at it, if Black Bolt from the universally-hated series Inhumans has found his way to appear in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, we’d say anything is possible. If Marvel Studios would dare to give Inhumans another shot in the franchise, we think there could be some room for Chloe Bennet to reprise her role, but still, we got nothing more than some guesswork and wishes for now.
