Jacob Elordi has spoken about saying goodbye to his character Nate Jacobs after a dramatic and shocking storyline in the show’s third season. Nate, one of the most controversial characters in the series, reaches a violent and unusual ending that has become one of the most talked-about moments in the season.

In the storyline, Nate spends the season dealing with serious personal and financial problems. He is shown struggling with a large debt while trying to keep his life together. At the same time, his relationships continue to fall apart, leaving him more isolated and stressed as the season moves forward.

The final stretch of his story takes place at a construction site where he becomes trapped inside a wooden box buried underground. The situation quickly turns dangerous as he is unable to escape. While calling for help, he is eventually discovered too late, leading to a tragic outcome that ends his storyline in the series.

The most shocking part of the scene comes when a rattlesnake enters through a small opening and bites him inside the confined space. The moment is played as a sudden and terrifying twist that seals his fate. Later, his body is discovered by characters Sydney Sweeney and Alexa Demie, who play Cassie Jacobs and Maddy Perez in the series.

After the episode aired, Elordi spoke about filming the scenes and shared that the experience was not as uncomfortable as many viewers might expect. In post-episode commentary, he explained that being inside the tight space actually felt calm to him at times.

He said, “It was really nice, actually – it was quite peaceful in there.”

He described how the set was physically restrictive, with limited space to move once the scene was set up. He explained that his arms were pinned and the lid of the box was secured during filming, making the environment feel completely enclosed.

Elordi also talked about working with the live snake used in the scene. While the moment appears intense on screen, he said the animal itself was not as frightening as it might seem.

He said, “He was super cute; he was really cuddly.” He added that the snake was calm and slow-moving during filming, even describing it as sleepy while on set. According to him, the only part that startled him was the sound of the rattling tail.

Despite the unusual nature of the scene, Elordi said he feels satisfied with how his character’s story ends. Nate Jacobs has been one of the central figures in “Euphoria” since the show began in 2019, and his character has been involved in many of the show’s most intense storylines.

Over the course of the series, Nate has gone through complicated relationships, personal trauma, and growing consequences for his actions. His arc in the third season builds on these themes as his life begins to collapse around him.

Elordi reflected on the end of his time on the show and expressed pride in being part of it. He said that the series has been a major part of his life and career, and he appreciates the experience of playing such a complex character over multiple seasons.

With Nate Jacobs now written out of the story, “Euphoria” moves forward without one of its most controversial figures. The ending leaves a strong impression on viewers and marks a major shift in the direction of the series.
