Marvel Studios has plenty of projects in the making, even after it was announced by Iger that they plan on significantly reducing their output. One of the most anticipated projects it’s certainly an ‘X-Men’ live-action reboot.
The reboot has been in plans ever since Disney took control of Fox properties X-Men and Fantastic Four. Now we don’t know whether the rumor we have for you is tied specifically to the X-Men reboot but it certainly sounds like that.
According to MyTimeToShineHello, a somewhat reliable leaker and scooper, Janelle Monàe is in talks to join the MCU franchise, as none other than Storm.
Plenty of fans have been hoping that Halle Berry might return to reprise her role, but that likely won’t happen as MCU wants to go with a younger and fresher crowd, no matter how iconic the original X-Men franchise actors were.

Janelle Monáe is a highly acclaimed American singer, songwriter, rapper, and actress. She has received numerous accolades, including ten Grammy Award nominations, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and a Children’s and Family Emmy Award.
She has expanded her career into acting, gaining recognition for her roles in films such as ‘Moonlight’ and ‘Hidden Figures’ in 2016. Her portrayal of engineer Mary Jackson in ‘Hidden Figures’ earned her a nomination for the Critics’ Choice Movie Award for Best Supporting Actress.
She has since appeared in films like ‘Harriet’ (2019) and ‘Glass Onion’ (2022), as well as the television series ‘Homecoming’ (2020).
