Jeep’s New ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Ad Throws Doctor Doom and a Sentinel Army at the Avengers Tower

Car brands and superhero blockbusters have gone hand in hand for years. Audi vehicles have appeared in all three Iron Man movies as well as ‘Captain America: Civil War’, ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ and ‘Avengers: Endgame’, while Acura played a role in ‘Thor’ and ‘The Avengers’, and a Lexus was featured in ‘Black Panther’.

Jeep now wants a spot on that list, and the brand has been building toward it for months. Jeep and Marvel both emerged in 1941, and Jeep and Captain America are both celebrating their 85th anniversary this year. Stellantis marketing chief Olivier Francois revealed the automaker had been thinking about a Captain America tie-up for years, but wasn’t sure Marvel would go for it, and the timing worked out perfectly.

Now that groundwork has produced a flashy new commercial for ‘Avengers: Doomsday’. The 48-second spot crams Doctor Doom, Captain America, Thor, Johnny Storm, Nightcrawler, Cyclops, the Sentinels, The Thing and H.E.R.B.I.E. into one tight package. It also shows the Avengers tower and carries an on-screen “Fictionalization” disclaimer, the kind of fine print that signals this is a marketing piece rather than a scene from the movie.

The roster reads like a greatest-hits list from the film’s cast. Robert Downey Jr. plays Doctor Doom, Anthony Mackie is Captain America, and Chris Hemsworth’s Thor is one of the heroes who takes him on. Pedro Pascal’s Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby’s Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn’s Human Torch and Ebon Moss-Bachrach’s The Thing are all back from ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’, while James Marsden’s Cyclops and Alan Cumming’s Nightcrawler cover the X-Men side.

H.E.R.B.I.E. is the deep cut. The Fantastic Four’s robot assistant was brought to life by sound editor and voice actor Matthew Wood, and he was spotted looking around nervously in the background of the first full trailer. In a separate sequence, the robot appears inside the X-Mansion alongside Reed Richards, Yelena and Sam Wilson.

The most striking visual in the ad is the Sentinel presence, which ties directly to the film’s marketing. In the trailer, Doom raises a collection of Sentinels, the classic X-Men villains, before declaring that hell answers to him. This is the first time the mutant-hunting robots appear in an MCU film.

Merchandise is already leaning into the moment. Hot Toys has revealed a massive 60cm Sentinel figure based on the film, with the downed robots littering the grounds of Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters until Doom raises them in the movie. The trailer also shows Reed Richards confronting Doom amid a heap of rubble, while Thor promises Doom will be begging for hell long before he grants it.

The ‘Doomsday’ ad is the latest phase of a co-branded effort that began earlier this year. The 2026 Wrangler America250 special edition features a Captain America shield tire cover and comes with an exclusive comic book cover showing Cap alongside the Wrangler.

The summer chapter, titled ‘The Original Superheroes’, featured 7 veterans who served as captains driving Wrangler, Grand Cherokee, Cherokee, Gladiator, Grand Wagoneer and Compass models. Anthony Leonardi III directed it, with Chicago-based agency Highdive producing. The campaign includes four phases, the last being a Marvel tie-in for the ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ release.

Stellantis is the exclusive automotive partner of America250, which explains why the patriotic angle runs through all of it. Francois called America’s 250th anniversary a huge cultural moment, though he stayed cautious when asked whether Jeeps would actually appear in the film itself.

Whether a Wrangler ever rolls through a scene remains unconfirmed, which is worth keeping in mind when watching the spot. This is a promotional piece built around the movie’s characters, not proof of a product placement on screen.

The wider cast is enormous. The Avengers, Fantastic Four, Thunderbolts and more heroes are joining forces to take down Downey’s Doom, who returns to the MCU after his original character died in ‘Avengers: Endgame’. The Russo brothers, who directed ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and ‘Avengers: Endgame’, are behind the film.
