Jennifer Lopez made fans laugh during a recent performance at her Las Vegas residency when she playfully teased a fan on stage about her ex-husband, Ben Affleck. The 56-year-old singer was performing her Up All Night Live show at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace when the funny moment happened, according to sources at the event.

The onstage interaction started when Lopez spotted an excited audience member and invited him up to join her. “Can we bring him up here? Yes, you!” she called out. Then, joking to the crowd, she added, “Oh yes, look at this guy, we’re gonna take him for everything that he’s got.”

Things got even funnier when she asked for his name, and he revealed it was “Ben.” Lopez let out an exaggerated “ugh” before bursting into laughter, showing the audience that her comment was made in good fun. The clip quickly went viral online, as fans shared and laughed at the cheeky reference to her former husband.

The moment came almost two years after Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck in August 2024, choosing their second wedding anniversary for the filing. Their split followed months of intense media coverage about the ups and downs of their rekindled romance, which had captured public attention during the pandemic.

Since the divorce, Lopez has embraced her independence. In a recent television interview, she pushed back against questions about dating and described her life as her “happy era.”

She said, “No! No I’m not! God forbid, I don’t want to ruin anything!” Lopez explained that she used to fear being alone and often jumped from relationship to relationship, but now she is content with herself.

To recover from her heartbreak, she took a year off from touring and major projects. “I had to stop everything, and I took a year off. I canceled tours and just decided to be home and sit in what had happened,” she shared.

She described that period as chaotic but necessary, adding, “I was just at a point where I was like, what is going on with you? Because I couldn’t blame anybody else, because I don’t think that’s where the lesson is.”

Lopez says she now feels confident and self-assured. While she enjoys her personal freedom, her career remains busy. She is set to star in the Netflix romantic comedy Office Romance, expected later this year, and the psychological thriller The Last Mrs. Parrish.

Even with their separate lives, both Lopez and Affleck continue to dominate Hollywood, and her playful onstage joke showed how she can turn personal history into comedic gold for her audience. Fans left the show laughing, appreciating Lopez’s ability to blend humor with honesty about her life.
