Kate Hudson’s (46) Bathroom in Her $6M la Home Looks Like It Came From a Famous Series
Kate Hudson has given fans a rare peek inside her stunning Los Angeles home, showing off a bathroom that looks straight out of a luxury English estate. The space features a deep soaking tub with elegant gold fixtures, large bay windows that let in lots of sunlight, and views of her lush, tiered backyard. Austrian shades and framed family photos give the room a classy, regal feel.
Hudson has always loved the United Kingdom, and that influence shows in her home. She recently shared her feelings after being nominated for a prestigious British film award, saying, “England has always been a real home for my family and me, so this nomination feels like a love letter back to a place that’s given us so much. See you soon, London Town.”
Her connection to the UK dates back to her engagement to musician Matt Bellamy, and she has joked about starting a Downton Abbey day if she ever ran for office there. The LA property is also full of personal history.
Hudson grew up in the home, which she later bought back from her parents, Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell, in 2005. She expanded the estate by purchasing the neighboring house in 2011, creating a large space for her famous family, who all live nearby.

Her brother, Oliver Hudson, recently spoke to reporters about how proud the family is as Kate experiences a career resurgence. He told the source that her award season buzz for her role in Song Sung Blue is a full-circle moment, recalling when she first became famous with Almost Famous over twenty years ago.
“It’s been a whirlwind, honestly. Especially for her, obviously, having to do the whole dog and pony show. This is nuts, and she hasn’t experienced this since Almost Famous – but now we’re all older, and we get to experience it with her, and for her to be celebrated is incredible,” Oliver said.
He added that the family always keeps their personal bonds first, even with the glitz of Hollywood surrounding them. “That’s the beauty of our family, we celebrate each other, and we love what we do, but it’s not as important as other people might make it.
We relish in the success of everyone’s accomplishments, but at the same time, it’s like, ‘Amazing, but you know there’s more important things… to be straight up!’” Even so, Oliver admitted he is personally rooting for Hudson to win her award.
“Do we want to win? She doesn’t care. But I care! I do, and I don’t even know why because, truly, art is so subjective. But I think that people need to recognize the difficulty of a role like this, and she does it with grace and beauty, and her voice is amazing, and she just hits all the notes,” he said.
Song Sung Blue stars Hudson as a Neil Diamond tribute performer alongside Hugh Jackman. Outside of film, she has focused on music, releasing her debut studio album Glorious in 2024. She is also starring in the Netflix series Running Point, created by Mindy Kaling, where she plays the president of a professional basketball team.
