Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys proved why they are one of Hollywood’s most elegant couples at the 32nd Annual Actor Awards on Sunday, March 1. The longtime partners, who met while starring in The Americans, arrived at the Shrine Auditorium in matching black outfits that fit the night’s debut theme.

This year, the ceremony had an official theme called Reimagining Hollywood Glamour From the ’20s and ’30s, celebrating the classic style of early Hollywood. Russell chose a simple black dress that felt both timeless and modern, staying true to her usual understated style.

Rhys, showing he’s the ultimate supportive partner, stopped to adjust the train of her gown while photographers snapped pictures. Their public display of care follows their recent appearance at the Golden Globes in January, where both were also nominated.

Russell was nominated for her role as Kate Wyler in Netflix’s political thriller The Diplomat, and Rhys received a nod for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series for his work in The Beast in Me.

Despite Russell often downplaying the fame side of Hollywood, her influence is clearly growing. In a past interview, she said, “My goal isn’t to go to Cannes,” explaining that she focuses more on the work than the spotlight.

The night was a big win for Russell, who took home the award for Female Actor in a Drama Series. Rhys has been exploring more varied roles, moving away from his usual restrained characters. About his part as Nile Jarvis in The Beast in Me, he told Netflix’s Tudum, “I’m not usually considered for parts like this,” adding that playing these new roles has been fun and refreshing.

Both Russell and Rhys have busy projects lined up. Russell is preparing for the premiere of the fourth season of The Diplomat, which started production late last year. She also works as an executive producer on the show alongside showrunner Debora Cahn.

Rhys will appear in the Apple TV+ horror-comedy Widow’s Bay, which premieres on April 29. He plays Tom Loftis, the mayor of a New England island who accidentally wakes an ancient curse while trying to turn his town into a tourist spot. The series is executive-produced by Hiro Murai and features actors Stephen Root and Dale Dickey.

Rhys is also set to appear in the second season of the legal drama Presumed Innocent and will voice the villain Dinosaurus in the animated hit Invincible later this year. Even with all their projects, the couple continues to balance work and life in Brooklyn. Their red carpet moments and shared victories at the Actor Awards remind fans of their strong partnership both on and off screen.
