Marvel has never been shy about letting its movies spill out of the multiplex, but the push behind ‘Avengers: Doomsday‘ is turning the drive-thru into a second premiere venue. Burgers, dipping boxes and collectible figurines are all being used to keep the Russo brothers’ crossover on everyone’s mind. The latest brand to join the party is KFC.

The film itself has been a long road for fans. It was originally dated for May 2026 before Marvel pushed it to December 18, and the story it tells is enormous. The Avengers, Wakandans, Fantastic Four, New Avengers and X-Men all team up to face Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom, per the film’s production details.

That scale is exactly why every fresh frame of footage gets dissected. The KFC commercial for ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ is no exception, because eagle-eyed viewers have spotted some notable set pieces hiding in the background. The ad appears to offer a new look at the New Avengers Tower, a Fantastic Four ship and a Sentinel head.

The spot, which runs in 15- and 30-second formats, opens on Doctor Doom surveying New York City after a battle with the Avengers. Every restaurant in sight has been flattened, with one exception: a single KFC left untouched. A voiceover jokes that KFC has reached an agreement with Doom, and all it took was a burger worthy of his name.

Look past the gag and the destruction is where the fun is. The ruined tower in the frame carries the Avengers “A” and glows with green light, while a battered, silver-blue ship sits in the wreckage nearby. Fans have tied those details to the New Avengers Tower and the Fantastic Four’s ship, with a Sentinel head rounding out the cameo-heavy skyline.

The apocalyptic setting also fits the tone of the film’s wider marketing. Commentators have noted that the campaign puts the villain front and center, leaning on the expectation that Doom wins the final battle.

KFC calls this its first-ever global venture with Marvel Studios. In the press release, Global CEO Scott Mezvinsky described it as “KFC’s most expansive joint venture to date.” The menu arrives in select markets on November 9 and runs through January 2027.

The lineup is built around Doom’s signature look. The Doom Burger comes on a black sesame bun with Smoky Green Mayo and Doom Cola sauce, and the rest of the menu includes Doom Dripped Wings, a Doom Bucket, Doom Loaded Fries and a Doom Shake. A green seasoning called Doom Dust and a boba-filled Doom Supreme Fizz round things out.

There is also merchandise for collectors. 5 Colonel Sanders figurines, each styled after an ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ character, come with qualifying purchases while supplies last. The menu will not be available in the United States, India or China, and offerings vary by market.

KFC is far from alone in this campaign. Jack in the Box launches a Doomsday Dipping Box on November 5, Burger King India teased its own collaboration, and WWE has an ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ edition of Worlds Collide. Earlier this year, KFC also partnered with DC Studios on dipping sauces and a Krypto bucket for ‘Supergirl’.

The promotional blitz comes at a moment when fans have been hungry for something more substantial. A heavily teased reveal turned out to be a themed coffee pop-up instead of a trailer, and the response was frustrated. A KFC ad that sneaks in genuine set pieces may land better with that crowd, even if it is technically a chicken commercial.

Official footage has landed too, though not always to universal applause. The first trailer arrived after a CinemaCon debut and sent longtime fans into a tizzy, while the second trailer, unveiled at Disney’s D23 event, drew reactions that were more mixed than Marvel hoped. Against that backdrop, every extra glimpse of the movie’s world, even one tucked inside a fast-food ad, carries added weight.

With the release date now just weeks away, expect fans to keep freeze-framing every promo for clues about how the New Avengers Tower, the Fantastic Four’s ship and the Sentinels fit into the story.
