Kingpin’s White Suit Is Back and Already Bloodstained in New ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Season 3 Set Photos

Few characters in recent Marvel history carry their wardrobe the way Wilson Fisk does. Every costume choice tells a story about where the Kingpin stands in the MCU’s power structure, and the latest images from the New York set of ‘Daredevil: Born Again‘ Season 3 suggest his story is about to get very dark, very fast.

Principal photography for the third season has been underway since March 2026, with filming taking place at Silvercup Studios in Queens and across various New York City locations. Earlier set photos captured Vincent D’Onofrio looking entirely unlike himself, dressed in a casual shirt, a long winter jacket, and a beanie hat, and sporting a thick white beard for the first time in his eleven-year MCU tenure. The imagery was striking precisely because it showed a man deliberately trying to disappear.

The photos shared by Daredevil Shots on June 24, sourced via Getty Images, tell a very different story. D’Onofrio is seen back on the Brooklyn streets of New York City, and the Kingpin has reclaimed his signature white suit.

The tailored look is unmistakably Fisk at the height of his power, a sharp contrast to the earlier Season 3 set photos that showed the character wandering the city in a long coat, beanie, and thick white beard. The suit is not pristine, however. Blood stains mark the jacket and collar, immediately signaling that Fisk’s quiet exile has already ended in violence.

D’Onofrio himself has addressed what the Season 2 finale cost his character emotionally, saying, “I think it damages him in a deep, deep way. I think that it’s going to take some doing to shock himself out of that somehow.” A man that shattered, stepping back into his white suit on a blood-soaked night, reads less like a comeback and more like a reckoning.

Speaking to GamesRadar+, he added, “It’s very different to see what happens to him at the end of the second season. It’s a very different feel. We pick up from what those events have done to him in the third season.”

Charlie Cox has described the shift in broad strokes, telling Entertainment Weekly that ‘Born Again’ Season 3 feels like the show has shed the skin of the Mayor Fisk era and is “a new book, a new dawn a little bit.”

Season 3 will also reunite the Defenders for the first time since their Netflix crossover, as Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter, and Finn Jones are all returning as Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Danny Rand respectively. Alongside a grieving, unshackled Fisk, that line-up promises a season with more moving pieces than anything the show has attempted before.

Showrunner Dario Scardapane confirmed to Entertainment Weekly that filming is wrapping in early July, placing production roughly at the halfway mark when the update was given. The season is set to premiere on Disney+ in March 2027 and will consist of eight episodes, continuing as part of Phase Six of the MCU. With a blood-splattered white suit already appearing this early in the production cycle, it is fair to wonder just how brutal the season is planning to get before that premiere date arrives.

Whether Fisk becomes more dangerous without the political constraints of the mayor’s office or whether losing Vanessa breaks something in him permanently is the question that image raises most loudly, so share your theories on what that bloodstained suit is actually hiding in Season 3.
