Kylie Jenner stepped onto the red carpet in Los Angeles and made it clear she came to be seen. The beauty mogul attended the premiere of The Moment on January 29 at the Fine Arts Theatre in Beverly Hills, where her fashion choice quickly became one of the most talked-about parts of the night. Reports from the premiere describe her look as a bold twist on a Maison Margiela spring runway design.

Jenner wore a flowing silk ball skirt paired with a ruffled halter top that left her midsection fully exposed. The shape of the outfit was dramatic, but her styling stayed calm and clean. Her hair was pulled into a tight updo, and she kept jewelry to a minimum so the outfit could do all the talking. Photographers also caught her posing with the film’s star, Charli xcx, who went in a totally different direction with a silver corset and leather shorts.

The film itself opened in theaters on January 30 and comes from indie studio A24. According to production notes and interviews tied to the release, The Moment is an autofiction-style mockumentary that pokes fun at the music industry.

The story follows a fictional version of Charli xcx as she deals with fame, branding, and the pressure of getting ready for a big tour. Jenner appears in the movie as herself, and director Aidan Zamiri has said she was incredible in her first acting role.

Some fans noticed that Timothée Chalamet was not by Jenner’s side at the premiere, but there was a clear reason. He was in New York City at the same time, promoting his new film, Marty Supreme. Chalamet is having a huge season, earning his third Best Actor Oscar nomination and winning a Golden Globe just weeks ago.

Even with their busy schedules, Jenner and Chalamet have still been seen together plenty this awards season. They attended both the Golden Globes and the Critics’ Choice Awards as a couple, where Jenner continued her run of standout fashion moments.

Charli xcx is also heading into a big year on screen. After The Moment, she is set to appear in The Gallerist, a satire set in the art world that also stars Natalie Portman and Jenna Ortega. Industry insiders say the project is already generating buzz.

As A24 expands the release of The Moment in February, the film is expected to spark conversations about fame, money, and creative control. With music by A.G. Cook and a cast full of indie favorites, it reflects the growing trend of self-aware storytelling in pop culture.
