Lili Reinhart has spent the past few months turning her press tour into a genuine fashion event, treating every stop like a chance to pay homage to the rom-coms that shaped a generation. From a yellow satin gown recalling ‘How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days’ to a custom Rodarte piece inspired by ‘Ever After,’ the actress has made her promotional run for the upcoming film feel like a love letter to the genre itself.

That approach has made sense given the project at hand. ‘The Love Hypothesis‘ adapts Ali Hazelwood’s bestselling novel, following Olive Smith, a brilliant Ph.D. candidate whose impulsive kiss with intimidating professor Adam Carlsen spirals into a fake relationship that starts blurring the lines between performance and reality.

This week, that carefully choreographed press tour reached its biggest moment yet. Reinhart turned heads at ‘The Love Hypothesis’ New York premiere in a striking pink and green floral gown, complete with a dramatic train and delicate beaded detailing running throughout the bodice and skirt.

For the star-studded New York event, celebrity stylist Ib Abdel Nasser dressed Reinhart in a breathtaking archival gown pulled from the Elie Saab Spring/Summer 2004 Couture collection. The ethereal piece featured soft pink chiffon layered with intricate green vine embroidery and shimmering beads, along with a dangerously high slit that added a modern edge to the vintage silhouette.

Nasser kept accessories to a minimum, letting the gown’s craftsmanship carry the look on its own. Reinhart wore her blonde hair in loose, effortless waves with a clean center part, finishing the moment with subtle eye makeup, flushed cheeks, and glossy pink lips.

The choice fits neatly into Reinhart’s broader strategy throughout the campaign, favoring archival and vintage pieces over new-season looks to create red carpet moments that feel collectible rather than disposable. It’s a tactic that’s paid off in a press tour already generating significant online chatter well before the film’s actual release.

The New York gown joins a growing list of standout looks from Reinhart’s promotional run. In Brazil, she wore a vintage Roberto Cavalli gown with a dramatic halter neckline and gold sequin beadwork, followed by a recreation of the iconic yellow dress from ‘How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days’ that had fans immediately clocking the reference.

For the London premiere, Reinhart chose a blue and purple slip gown from Emanuel Ungaro’s Spring 2001 collection, layered with crystals that leaned fully into Y2K mermaid energy. She also debuted a custom silver Rodarte piece paying tribute to Drew Barrymore’s fairy dress from ‘Ever After: A Cinderella Story,’ a design originally created for the 2025 Vogue World: Hollywood television special.

Even her more casual press stops have carried thematic weight. For an event dubbed “The Olive Soft Launch” on August 27, Nasser dressed Reinhart in a pink cardigan and ivory skort set from Australian label Leo Lin, finished with peep-toe mules, a Valentino bag, and a $900 pink pear-cut ring from Bondeye Jewelry.
