Lionsgate Drops First ‘Fall 2: Deadpoint’ Trailer and Poster, Sets Release Date
Lionsgate has officially released the first trailer and poster for Fall 2: Deadpoint, bringing back the high-altitude survival horror that made the original film a sleeper hit.
The sequel continues the same core idea that made the first Fall so intense. The original film followed two friends trapped at the top of a massive abandoned TV tower after a ladder breaks, turning a simple climb into a terrifying fight for survival. The new film takes that fear even further, raising the stakes both literally and physically.
The official synopsis describes the sequel as an even more dangerous experience. It reads, “From the survival hit that tapped into the fear of heights and left two friends stranded at the top of a tower comes a climb that goes higher, gets deadlier, and hits with next-level adrenaline. In Fall 2: Deadpoint, two friends take on new heights in Thailand, where unpredictable terrain, extreme exposure, and nowhere to hide push survival further than ever before.”
This time, the story moves the action to Thailand, where new environments and extreme conditions add fresh challenges for the characters. While the first film focused on a single towering structure, the sequel expands the scale with more dangerous terrain and wider survival scenarios.
The newly released trailer is short but intense, showing quick flashes of dangerous climbing situations and high-altitude tension. Even in its brief runtime, it keeps the same anxiety-driven tone that defined the first movie, leaning heavily into fear of falling and isolation. The footage has already drawn strong reactions online for its dizzying visuals and suspense-heavy editing.
Fall 2: Deadpoint stars Harriet Slater, known for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, Arsema Thomas from Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, and Tom Brittney from Grantchester. The film is directed by The Spierig Brothers, who previously worked on Jigsaw. The screenplay is written by Jonathan Frank and Scott Mann, based on characters created by Scott Mann and Frank. The production team also includes James Harris, Mark Lane, David Haring, and Christian Mercuri.
The original Fall was made on a relatively small budget but went on to become a surprise success. While it did not make a huge impact in theaters at first, it later gained strong attention through streaming, where audiences responded to its simple but effective survival concept. Its success helped set the stage for a sequel, proving there was still strong interest in contained, high-tension thrillers built around basic fears like height and isolation.

Fall 2: Deadpoint is now officially set to release in theaters on September 2. With the first trailer already building tension, the sequel looks ready to revisit the same nerve-wracking idea, but on a larger and more extreme scale.
