‘Love of Your Life’ Star Margaret Qualley Fronts Chanel’s Holiday Makeup Collection With a Frosty, Après-Ski Glow
Holiday beauty campaigns tend to rely on glitter, red lips and a lot of sparkle. Chanel is taking a different route this season, one inspired by snowy mountains and the flushed cheeks that come after a day on the slopes. The house has chosen a familiar face to carry that mood.
Margaret Qualley is the face of Chanel’s holiday makeup collection, and new campaign images show her in a cream-and-black fuzzy jacket with gold buttons. She wears a golden liner, a glossy pink lip and a gold manicure, posed against an icy tabletop marked with the house’s emblem. In one frame she rests her head on her hand, and in another she flashes a wide smile.
The collection is alpine-inspired, built around icy whites, warm browns, pinks and gold. According to V Magazine, the campaign brings an après-ski mood to holiday beauty through flushed cheeks and light catching on skin. It is a softer, more wearable take on seasonal glamour.

The face and cheek products set the tone. The XXL Highlighter in Neige d’Or and the Joues Contraste Intense blush in Mont Rose pair pale luminosity with rosy warmth. Embossed powders and a white textured highlighter sleeve carry the winter theme into the packaging.
For eyes, Les 4 Ombres in Ombre d’Or combines brown, pink and pale gold, while Le Liner in Éclat Doré adds a brighter golden accent. Qualley’s eyeliner in the campaign photos appears to echo that gilded detail. It is a subtle way to bring metallic color into an otherwise soft palette.

Glossy lips complete the collection. Rouge Coco Hydra Gloss comes in Givré, a frosty shine, and Étincelle, a golden shimmer. A 3-piece gift set adds the exclusive pink shade Aura and a white pouch.
On nails, Le Vernis in Blanc Alpin and Scintillance brings the white-and-gold palette to the fingertips. That extends the campaign’s winter mood from head to toe. Together the products form a cohesive, snow-inspired story rather than a random set of seasonal shades.
Qualley is no newcomer to the house. She modeled for Chanel early in her career and has since become a Chanel ambassador, appearing in numerous campaigns. In 2024, she was photographed by Inez and Vinoodh as the face of the Fall-Winter ready-to-wear collection, embodying the Parisian woman.
More recently, she wore a red-to-blush Chanel gown from the Pre-Fall collection to the Los Angeles premiere of ‘How to Make a Killing’ in February. Her looks have often been a showcase for the house’s evolving aesthetic. The holiday campaign continues that tradition on the beauty side.
Her Chanel work has also extended into storytelling. In November, the house appointed A$AP Rocky as a brand ambassador and debuted his role in a short film co-starring Qualley, directed by Michel Gondry and shot in New York. It served as a teaser for Matthieu Blazy’s debut Métiers d’Art collection, which the house showed in New York on December 2.
That film was playful and fast-paced, a contrast to the calm, frosty polish of the new campaign. Together, they show how Chanel uses Qualley across different registers, from comic energy to quiet elegance. It also speaks to her flexibility as a performer.
The campaign arrives as Qualley is in the spotlight for her acting. Her romantic drama ‘Love of Your Life’, co-starring Aaron Pierre, begins streaming on Prime Video today. She has also co-starred in Ridley Scott’s post-apocalyptic drama ‘The Dog Stars’ this year.
For Chanel, that visibility is useful. A star at the center of a film release, a fashion moment and a beauty campaign gives the brand a lot to work with. For Qualley, it is another sign of how comfortably she moves between screen and runway.
The appeal of the campaign lies in its restraint. Instead of heavy drama, it leans on glow, warmth and a little shimmer, which makes it feel wearable beyond the holidays. The gold accents on the eyes and nails give it a festive touch without overwhelming the face.
Fans of Chanel makeup will find plenty to explore, from the highlighter to the gift set. And for anyone looking for a holiday palette that feels like fresh snow rather than a party, this one has a clear point of view.
