Macaulay Culkin stepped back into the spotlight on Tuesday while attending a Dior showcase during Paris Fashion Week. The 45-year-old actor appeared relaxed and upbeat as he arrived at the event, marking his first major public appearance after a difficult start to the year.

Culkin quickly caught attention with his playful fashion choice. He wore a white jumper featuring artwork from the classic children’s book The Very Hungry Caterpillar, originally published in 1969 by Eric Carle. The bold piece came from Dior and added a nostalgic and lighthearted feel to his look.

He paired the jumper with a blue button-down shirt layered underneath, along with cuffed blue jeans. On his feet were brown Dior trainers with the brand’s logo pattern. One detail that stood out to many was his multicolored painted nails, which became a major talking point among photographers and fans.

The appearance came just weeks after the death of Catherine O’Hara, who played Culkin’s mother in the Home Alone films. O’Hara passed away in late January at the age of 71 due to a pulmonary embolism linked to rectal cancer.

After her passing, Culkin shared an emotional message on social media. “I thought we had more time,” he wrote, adding that he wished they could talk one more time. He ended the post with “I love you. I’ll see you later.”

The two shared a touching public moment in 2023 during Culkin’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony. O’Hara spoke at the event and praised his performance in Home Alone, saying it was the reason the movie became such a lasting success. She described his acting as perfect and joked about being his fake mom who left him home alone, not once, but twice.

Even though Culkin has taken a more selective approach to acting in recent years, he remains active. He recently appeared in the second season of The Righteous Gemstones, where he played the estranged son of Baby Billy Freeman.

O’Hara’s legacy continues through her many iconic roles, including Moira Rose on Schitt’s Creek and her recent work on the Apple TV+ series The Studio. Her influence on Culkin’s life and career has remained clear, especially through their last reunion.

Culkin has also become a familiar face in the fashion world, often attending major shows in Paris and Los Angeles. His appearance at the Dior event suggests he is slowly finding balance again while continuing to express himself through style.
