Marvel fans finally have the complete lineup for the newest tag team brawler to hit consoles and PC. ‘Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls’ has confirmed its full launch roster, and the mix of Avengers, X-Men, and villains gives players a lot to dig into before the game even hits shelves.
The title is a collaboration between Marvel Games, PlayStation Studios, and Arc System Works, and it puts a heavy focus on 4v4 team battles played out in a best of three format. Unlike previous Marvel tag fighters, all four characters on a team share a single life bar, which changes how players have to think about tagging in and out during matches.

The full roster is broken down into five groups based on each character’s history in the comics, starting with the Fighting Avengers, made up of Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, and Black Panther. The Amazing Guardians bring together Spider-Man, Ms. Marvel, Star-Lord, and Peni Parker for a squad that leans on aerial mobility and combo extensions. Star-Lord relies on ranged blasters and rocket boots, while Peni Parker fights from inside her SP//dr mech using drones and traps scattered across the screen.
Rounding out the mutant side of the roster is the Unbreakable X-Men, featuring Storm, Magik, Wolverine, and Danger. Storm plays as a technical, elements based fighter at the front of the team, Wolverine is built as a hard hitting close range rushdown option, and Magik teleports around the stage through Dark Portals while swinging her Soulsword.

The villain side of the cast is just as stacked. Knights of Doom is led by Doctor Doom, joined by Magneto, Green Goblin, and Carnage. Doctor Doom mixes science and magic and comes equipped with a Nullify Shield that can parry incoming attacks, while Magneto controls space by hurling metal debris at opponents and Green Goblin flies around on his glider dropping pumpkin bombs.
The final team, Samurai Outriders, includes Ghost Rider in his Robbie Reyes form, Blade, Loki, and Deadpool. Loki fights with a style built around trickery, using counters and illusions to confuse and frustrate opponents who try to read his patterns. This team leans heavily into the more supernatural corners of Marvel lore, which sets it apart tonally from the other four squads.

Casting has been a talking point since the reveals started rolling out. Wolverine is voiced by Steve Blum, Doctor Doom is voiced by SungWon Cho, and Magneto is voiced by James Arnold Taylor, alongside Kellen Goff behind Carnage. Josh Keaton actually takes on two roles in the game, voicing both Iron Man and Spider-Man, something he previously did in Marvel Cosmic Invasion, and he is a familiar voice to fans from his work as Captain America in ‘X-Men 97’ and as Spider-Man in ‘Spectacular Spider-Man.’
Beyond the voice work, Arc System Works has reimagined every character with anime inspired designs and bespoke move sets pulled from Marvel lore, with Normal, Special, and Unique attacks reflecting each hero or villain’s most iconic abilities, while Ultimate Skills deliver cinematic team wide devastation. Shuri takes on the Black Panther mantle in this version of the roster, using long range spear attacks and projectiles to zone enemies before closing in with her claws.

The 20 character lineup is only the beginning. Arc System Works has confirmed that at least four more characters are coming to the game as post launch DLC, with Phoenix Cyclops already confirmed as the first addition. Marvel Database also lists The Champion among the game’s antagonists tied to the Elders of the Universe storyline, fueling speculation about who else might eventually join the fight.
There have also been hints from the official account that a few surprises are still in store before launch, and if the leaks about The Champion turn out to be accurate, he would become the 21st character on the roster, sitting outside the confirmed Year 1 DLC plans. ‘Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls’ launches for PC, PS5, and PS4 on August 6, 2026, so fans won’t have to wait much longer to find out.
