‘Marvel’s Spider-Man 2’ Writer Confirms He Will Also Write ‘Marvel’s Wolverine’

It’s been almost two years since the latest live-action Spider-Man movie’s release. Even though there’s still plenty of waiting ahead of Tom Holland’s return, this year is also very exciting for web-crawler fans. Earlier this month, we watched ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse,’ the long-anticipated second installment of the animated ‘Spider-Verse’ franchise.

And next October, the owners of PS5 will finally get their hands on ‘Marvel’s Spider-Man 2,’ the anticipated sequel to 2018’s video game ‘Marvel’s Spider-Man’ and its spin-off, 2020’s ’Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales.’ These two previous installments in Insomniac’s series of video games based on Marvel properties have received critical acclaim, explaining why the next installment is so widely anticipated. And what’s even better, Insomniac Games is already working on another game after ‘Spider-Man 2.’

‘Marvel’s Spider-Man 2’ writer reveals he’s begun to work on ‘Marvel’s Wolverine’

At the PlayStation Showcase events in September 2021, Insomniac Games officially announced ‘Marvel’s Spider-Man 2’ and ‘Marvel’s Wolverine,’ the first non-Spider-Man game which will be set in the same shared universe as three previous ‘Spider-Man’ games. Nick Folkman, who was part of ‘Marvel’s Spider-Man 2’ writing team, has now revealed on his Twitter account that his work on the game is finished, and he’s already started working on ‘Marvel’s Wolverine’ as his next project.

Thanks to ’Marvel’s Spider-Man’ and ’Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales,’ Insomniac Games has earned the trust of Marvel fans, and now we believe they have plenty of quality content in the future. Insomniac Games is also the studio that developed ‘Ratchet & Clank,’ a series of video games that started in 2002, and to this day, it spawned nine main installments. Folkman also worked on the latest installment, 2021’s ‘Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.’

‘Marvel’s Spider-Man 2’ is set to be released exclusively on PS5 on October 20, 2023. ‘Marvel’s Wolverine’ is currently in development, with a TBA release date.
