Meet the Stars of The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 3 as Full Cast is Revealed
Fans of The Walking Dead universe now have a date to mark on their calendars. According to information released by AMC, The Walking Dead: Dead City will return for its third season on July 26. The spin-off series, which follows Maggie and Negan after the events of the original show, is coming back nearly a year after its previous season aired.
AMC recently released a short teaser for the upcoming season, giving viewers a first look at what lies ahead. The footage shows Maggie and Negan once again working together in New York City, a place that remains one of the most dangerous locations in the post-apocalyptic world. Despite their long and complicated history, the pair appear ready to put aside old conflicts as they face new challenges.
According to AMC’s official synopsis, Season 3 focuses on Maggie and Negan’s efforts to create the first successful and growing community in Manhattan since the zombie outbreak began. Their goal is to bring stability and hope to the city, but problems quickly emerge. As tensions rise and danger spreads, both characters are forced to confront difficult questions about their past decisions and whether they have truly changed.
The series continues to be led by Lauren Cohan as Maggie and Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Negan. Both actors return to the roles that made them fan favorites during the original Walking Dead series. AMC has also confirmed several other cast members for the new season.
According to an AMC press release, the starring cast includes Lauren Cohan, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Jimmi Simpson, Raúl Castillo, Aimee Garcia, Logan Kim, and Michael Emery. Simpson joins the series as a new addition for Season 3, while Garcia continues her role as Renata.
AMC previously described Renata as “a disarmingly charming leader with a natural ability to win people over with her optimism and convivial personality.” The character is expected to play an important role in the new episodes as the struggle for control and survival continues throughout Manhattan.
Created by Eli Jorné, Dead City is the fifth television series set within The Walking Dead franchise. Since the original show debuted in 2010, the franchise has expanded into several spin-offs that explore different characters and stories from the same universe. Dead City has become one of the most successful of those projects, thanks largely to the dynamic relationship between Maggie and Negan.
The Walking Dead franchise is also expanding beyond television. Last month, Ares Interactive and AMC Networks announced a new video game called The Walking Dead: Aftermath. The game is expected to launch this summer on iOS and Android devices, with additional platforms planned for the future.

According to the announcement, the game combines fast-paced combat, survival gameplay, and base-building features. Players will be able to control popular characters such as Rick Grimes, Daryl Dixon, and Michonne while fighting walkers and completing missions in familiar locations from the television series.
With a new season of Dead City arriving this summer and a new game on the way, fans of The Walking Dead universe have plenty to look forward to in the coming months.
