Michael Rosenbaum reveals he wanted to voice Batman in the upcoming animated series!

Michael Rosenbaum is a known name for DC fans since he gained recognition for playing Lex Luthor in the Smallville series starring Tom Welling. His performance as Lex was widely praised. He also voiced many other comic book characters in various animated media, including Deadman in Batman: The Brave and the Bold, Wally West/Flash in Justice League, and Ghoul in Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker. He also starred as Martinex in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 in 2017 and Vol. 3 this year.

On the most recent episode of his Inside of You with Michael Rosenbaum podcast, Rosenbaum admitted that he auditioned for the voice role of Batman in the “JJ Abrams-produced Batman show.” He didn’t get the part, although he was apparently the type of voice actor producers wanted for the part.

Although Kevin Conroy is, without a doubt, the most known Batman voice actor of all time, many other voice actors also did a pretty good job with this specific voice role. To voice Batman, you really need to have a specific kind of voice, and some of the voice actors that are also known for voicing Batman are Jason O’Mara (DC Animated Movie Universe), Will Arnett (The LEGO movie franchise), Troy Baker (Batman: Arkham Origins video game), and Jensen Ackles (Batman: The Long Halloween).

Batman: Caped Crusader is still in development, with the release date still TBA, although it is expected to premiere this year on Amazon Prime Video.
