Millie Bobby Brown Shares Which Film She Thinks Is the Best of All Time
Millie Bobby Brown has come a long way since her early days in Hawkins, Indiana. While the cast of Stranger Things rose to fame after the show’s 2016 debut, Brown quickly became the breakout star.
Before playing the mysterious and powerful Eleven, she had small roles on Grey’s Anatomy and Modern Family, gaining experience that would set the stage for her Hollywood career. Over the years, Brown has expanded beyond acting, launching her own projects and becoming a producer.
She is best known for leading the Enola Holmes film series, which has cemented her status as a versatile young star. In addition, she published her first historical romance novel, Nineteen Steps, in 2023, showing that her talents reach far beyond the screen.
Brown opened up about her all-time favorite movie during a casual conversation with her longtime Stranger Things co-star Noah Schnapp. While Noah picked Disney’s 2016 hit Moana, Brown revealed that her ultimate favorite is the 2009 Pixar classic Up. The film is famous for its emotional opening sequence, which depicts a lifelong romance in just a few minutes.
The story follows an elderly widower who fulfills a promise to his late wife by traveling to South America. She explained that the film’s mix of adventure, emotion, and humor makes it timeless.
Schnapp, for his part, highlighted Moana, which tells the story of a young Polynesian woman who sets out on an ocean voyage to save her island. Featuring a vibrant soundtrack and Dwayne Johnson in the voice cast, the movie is celebrated for its daring storytelling and strong central character.
“It’s just such a fun, empowering story,” he said, noting that it remains one of his favorites to revisit. The timing of these movie recommendations comes as both actors are entering new phases of their lives and careers.
Brown recently turned 22 on February 19 and is preparing for the summer release of Enola Holmes 3. In the upcoming film, her character travels to Malta to tackle a high-stakes new mystery, with Henry Cavill and Louis Partridge returning as co-stars.
Schnapp is also busy with major milestones, preparing to graduate from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School in May. He has been focused on his studies and entrepreneurial ventures, including his sustainable snack brand TBH, but remains eager to explore new roles in comedy and psychological thrillers as he moves beyond Will Byers.
Beyond their personal growth, both actors continue to play a central role in the Stranger Things franchise. The series has expanded through spin-offs, stage adaptations like The First Shadow, and various global projects, keeping the original cast at the forefront of pop culture.
Brown’s leadership in her film and literary ventures shows she is ready to shape her career on her own terms while continuing to inspire her fans. Outside of Stranger Things, Brown has stayed active in Hollywood, working on producing several new projects and collaborating with high-profile directors.
