‘Mobland’ Season 2 Trailer Shows the Harrigans Spiraling Toward All-Out War

Guy Ritchie’s brutal crime family drama returns to Paramount+ next month, and the new trailer makes clear that whatever fragile stability the Harrigans clawed back at the end of Season 1 isn’t holding. ‘MobLand‘ became one of the streamer’s biggest hits with its debut season, pairing Ritchie’s signature stylish violence with a family dynamic messy enough to rival prestige dramas built entirely around dysfunction.

That combination of gangster spectacle and internal betrayal is exactly what’s fueling anticipation for the new season. Season 1 ended with patriarch Conrad Harrigan behind bars following his arrest, leaving the Harrigan crime empire in a precarious position just as rival factions began circling.

Now Paramount+ has released the full trailer for ‘MobLand’ Season 2, confirming both Conrad and his wife Maeve are back out of prison and firmly back in business, though the family’s problems have only intensified since viewers last saw them. Tom Hardy’s Harry Da Souza, the family’s sharp-tongued fixer, opens the trailer with an ominous warning to his boss, declaring the family is in a death spiral, a line neither Conrad nor Maeve appears to take particularly seriously.

Despite the warning, Harry continues trying to shield the Harrigans from mounting external threats even as cracks widen from within. The trailer shows him pointing out that the family has already lost control of both their fentanyl and heroin operations, leaving them surrounded by rivals eager to pick apart what remains of their empire.

Conrad, for his part, shows no interest in backing down quietly. The trailer features Brosnan’s character wielding a machine gun and declaring he’ll give his enemies exactly the war they’re asking for, a defiant response that suggests Season 2 will lean even further into the show’s blend of blood-soaked spectacle and family melodrama.

New and returning threats loom large throughout the footage as well, including cartel operative Kat McAllister, played by Janet McTeer, seen sharing a pointed exchange with Colin Tattersall, played by Toby Jones. According to the official Season 2 logline, the Harrigans will struggle to present a unified front as rising rivals threaten their fractured criminal empire, with Harry forced to walk an increasingly dangerous tightrope as tensions inside the family intensify alongside the external chaos.

That internal conflict appears set to deepen further given Season 1’s cliffhanger involving Eddie Harrigan discovering that Conrad is actually his father rather than his grandfather, a revelation that hasn’t yet played out on screen. Combined with Maeve reportedly working to turn Eddie against both Harry and Seraphina, the family’s already fractured loyalties look primed to shatter completely.

The sophomore season will consist of 10 hour-long episodes, continuing the show’s ensemble approach with returning cast members including Paddy Considine, Joanne Froggatt, Lara Pulver, and Anson Boon. The series has not yet been renewed for a third season, though reports indicate Hardy would return if Paramount+ does decide to continue the story beyond Season 2.

With loyalties fracturing, cartel players circling, and Conrad seemingly ready to meet chaos with even more chaos, ‘MobLand’ Season 2 looks positioned to escalate everything that made the first season such a hit. ‘MobLand’ Season 2 premieres on Paramount+ on September 18.
