Neighbor Speaks Out About Pushing Alan Ritchson Before He Fought Back
A man who was caught up in a viral fight with Reacher actor Alan Ritchson is now speaking out and admitting he started the physical part of the incident. Ronnie Taylor, who lives in a suburb of Nashville, shared his side of the story in an interview with TMZ, saying he pushed the actor before things got out of control.
According to Taylor, the issue began a day earlier when he noticed a motorcycle speeding through the neighborhood. He said the noise and speed caught his attention, and he tried to say something from a distance.
“I eventually saw the guy Saturday, and I didn’t know who it was. I sort of flippantly — and he was quite a ways away — said, ‘Guy, can you just slow it down please?’” he explained. He added that other neighbors were also concerned and had even recorded the speeding on their doorbell cameras.

The next day, the situation escalated when Taylor saw Ritchson riding past again, this time with two children nearby on their own bikes. Taylor said he stepped into the street to confront him, and that’s when things turned physical. “I did push him because he was coming towards me on his bike. He did it again for the second time.
I pushed him a second time, and I think the second time he got off his bike and kicked the crap outta me,” he admitted. A video of the incident quickly spread online, showing the actor hitting Taylor several times. Taylor later claimed he was struck multiple times, even after falling to the ground. Despite this, he said he doesn’t hold any long-term anger toward Ritchson.
“I don’t wish the guy any malice or ill will, but we just don’t need people riding through neighborhoods like this. And I just decided I’m going to take a stand, because someone has to,” he said.
Police are currently looking into what happened, but as of now, no one has been arrested. While Taylor has shared his version of events, people close to Ritchson have said the actor was defending himself after being provoked.
The video has sparked a lot of debate online, with people split over whether the reaction was justified. Some believe the actor went too far, while others think he was responding to being pushed.
Away from the incident, Ritchson is having a strong run in his career. He recently appeared in the Netflix sci-fi action movie War Machine, which was released on March 6 and quickly became popular on the platform.
The film follows a group of Army Rangers who run into a dangerous alien threat during a training mission. Fans are also waiting for more of his role as Jack Reacher. Season three of Reacher came out earlier in 2025, and season four has already finished filming and is expected to arrive on Prime Video later this year.
There is also a spin-off series focused on Frances Neagley, played by Maria Sten, which is currently in post-production. Even with this recent controversy, Alan Ritchson remains a major name in action entertainment, balancing big projects with growing attention from fans around the world.
