Netflix Releases First Teaser for ‘Troll 2,’ the Largest Film Ever Made in the Nordics

Netflix has just shared the official teaser for Troll 2, the new Norwegian movie directed by Roar Uthaug. This film is planned to come out sometime between September and November 2025. Troll 2 is the sequel to the first Troll movie and is already being called the biggest film ever made in the Nordic countries.

The movie was shot in different locations, including Trondheim, Maridalen, and Jotunheimen in Norway, as well as Budapest. Espen Aukan, the screenwriter, explained that they filmed in Budapest because it was difficult to find the right places to shoot in Norway. The producers behind the film are Espen Horn and Kristian Strand Sinkerud from Motion Blur.

The cast features Ine Marie Wilmann as Nora, Kim S. Falck-Jørgensen playing Andreas Isaksen, and Mads Sjøgård Pettersen as Captain Kristoffer “Kris” Holm. Other actors include Sara Khorami, Jon Ketil Johnsen, Gard B. Eidsvold, Aksel Almaas, and Trond Magnum. Netflix released the first teaser, giving fans an early look at this major Nordic production.

With its mix of beautiful Norwegian nature and international filming spots, Troll 2 looks like it will be an exciting new chapter for the series and a huge project for the Nordic film industry.
