One year after its debut, KPop Demon Hunters is still showing no signs of slowing down. Netflix has shared new numbers celebrating the animated musical’s massive impact, revealing just how far the HUNTR/X phenomenon has spread around the world.

According to Netflix, the film has reached more than 600 million views since arriving on the platform in June 2025. It also became the number one title in 76 countries, proving that the mix of K-pop energy, fantasy action, and emotional storytelling connected with viewers everywhere.

The success of KPop Demon Hunters has gone far beyond streaming. Netflix revealed that the movie generated more than 4.6 billion social media impressions, while its presence in the gaming world also exploded. The film’s Roblox experience attracted 11.5 million hours of playtime, showing how fans have continued to interact with the franchise outside the movie itself.

The cultural impact has even reached real-world trends. Netflix shared that flights to South Korea increased by 25% after the film’s release, while the number of people in the United States learning Korean through Duolingo jumped by 22%. The movie was also named the number one film on Google’s Year in Search 2025 and inspired all of the top five Halloween costume trends.

Netflix also celebrated another major milestone: KPop Demon Hunters has spent 52 straight weeks in the platform’s Global Top 10. That streak broke the previous record of 20 weeks, which was held by Extraordinary Attorney Woo. The animated film has now become Netflix’s most-watched title ever and is being viewed as one of the company’s biggest entertainment brands.

The story follows HUNTR/X, a K-pop girl group that secretly protects humanity from demons while performing for fans around the world. The combination of music, action, and the friendship between characters Rumi, Mira, and Zoey helped the movie become a worldwide hit.

To celebrate the first anniversary, Netflix announced a series of special events for fans. The celebrations include theatrical screenings, outdoor showings, and sing-along events where audiences can experience the movie together. Special screenings are planned in several countries, including South Korea, Japan, Australia, the United Kingdom, Germany, and more.

Fans will also be able to join a worldwide watch party hosted through Netflix’s official TikTok account. The nine-hour livestream will feature different versions of the film, including the original, sing-along, Korean, and Brazilian Portuguese versions. The event will include appearances from fans, creators, cast members, and filmmakers, along with behind-the-scenes content and special surprises.

Netflix is also expanding the KPop Demon Hunters brand with new collaborations. A skincare partnership with Anua introduced a new campaign featuring HUNTR/X, while a Vans collection inspired by the film will bring the characters’ style into fashion.

More merchandise is also arriving, including toys from companies such as Mattel, Hasbro, and Jazwares. Fans can expect dolls, plush characters, and collectibles based on the movie’s heroes and villains.

Additional anniversary celebrations will continue throughout the year, including international merchandise pop-ups from bemyfriends and new accessory collections from Loungefly. A special anniversary edition of the soundtrack is also being released with new tracks and collectible items.

After just one year, KPop Demon Hunters has grown from a Netflix movie into a global franchise. With new events, products, and fan experiences arriving, it appears HUNTR/X’s journey is only getting started.
