Netflix Reveals Nevermore Academy’s Dark Return, Fans Can Apply & Meet The New Principal

Fans of Netflix’s hit show Wednesday can now apply to join the eerie Nevermore Academy, a fictional school for Outcasts like Werewolves, Vampires, Sirens, Gorgons, and DaVincis. Nestled near Jericho, Vermont, this 200-year-old institution welcomes those who feel out of place in the “normie” world.

With the second season of Wednesday set to premiere in August, excitement is building for what’s next at the spooky academy.

The show’s upcoming season introduces big changes. A new principal, Barry Dort, played by Steve Buscemi, takes charge following the dramatic exit of Principal Larissa Weems. Buscemi appears in a welcome video on NevermoreAcademy.com, where fans can also take a quiz to discover their Outcast power and hunt for hidden easter eggs.

The site warns that applying to Nevermore is highly competitive and potentially risky.

Season two brings fresh faces to the cast. Billie Piper plays a character named Capri, while Joanna Lumley portrays Grandmama. Thandiwe Newton stars as Dr. Fairburn, and other actors, including Frances O’Connor, Noah Taylor, Christopher Lloyd, and Haley Joel Osment, join in undisclosed roles.

Lady Gaga will also appear, though her part remains a mystery. Wednesday Addams won’t be alone this time, her brother Pugsley enrolls at Nevermore, setting the stage for his own dark adventures.

Netflix announced that the season will release in two parts: the first four episodes drop on August 6, 2025, followed by the rest on September 3, 2025. Expect more mysteries, chaos, and creepy fun as the show dives deeper into the world of Outcasts.

The academy’s website sums it up: “Have you ever felt like you don’t belong? A bit odd, too different to describe? Then we’ve got good news: there’s a very special place for you, alongside Wednesday Addams herself.”

The return of Wednesday and the chance to “apply” to Nevermore Academy is a clever way to pull fans into this quirky, goth world. The new cast, especially heavyweights like Steve Buscemi and Lady Gaga, raises the bar, and splitting the season into two parts builds anticipation.

I’m curious to see how Pugsley’s story unfolds and what surprises the new season holds. What do you think about Wednesday season two? Are you excited to explore Nevermore’s mysteries or apply to the academy? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
