Netflix’s Biggest 2026 Series Just Broke 131M Minutes Viewed in New Thriller Surge
According to streaming data and reporting on Netflix viewership performance, the new thriller series “I Will Find You” has become one of the platform’s biggest launches of 2026.
The show quickly reached the number one position on Netflix’s Top 10 Most Watched list after its release. It also recorded more than 131 million minutes viewed in its early run. This puts it far ahead of other titles currently on the platform, with the second-ranked show sitting at around 28.5 million minutes viewed. The gap highlights just how strong the debut has been for the series.

“I Will Find You” is based on the novel of the same name by Harlan Coben. The story follows David Burroughs, played by Sam Worthington, who is serving a life sentence for the murder of his own son. Everything changes when he is shown new evidence suggesting his child may still be alive. This leads him to escape from prison in a desperate attempt to find the truth, clear his name, and rescue his son.
The cast also includes Britt Lower and Milo Ventimiglia, adding more attention to the series due to their established work in other popular shows. The combination of a well-known author’s story and a recognizable cast has helped the series attract a large global audience.

Like many adaptations of Harlan Coben’s novels, the series is built around fast pacing, twists, and emotional tension. While the plot has been praised for being gripping, some viewers have pointed out that certain developments become hard to believe as the story progresses through its eight-episode structure. Even with that criticism, the show continues to maintain strong viewer engagement.

Critic Belen Prieto described the series as, “an absorbing thriller, full of tension and constant plot twists, designed to be binged in just a few days.” This reflects the general viewing style the show encourages, where audiences are pushed to continue watching episode after episode without long breaks.
One of the main reasons for the show’s success appears to be its ability to keep viewers hooked through suspense and performance-driven storytelling. Britt Lower in particular has been highlighted as a standout in the cast, helping to carry emotional moments within the story.
Despite mixed reactions from critics and audiences, the performance numbers show that the series has connected strongly with viewers. Some have said the storytelling feels familiar compared to earlier Harlan Coben adaptations, but others still find it entertaining enough to binge in full.
The success of “I Will Find You” also fits into Netflix’s ongoing partnership with Harlan Coben, which has already produced more than a dozen adaptations of his work. The streamer is continuing to expand this collaboration, with future projects already in development.
One of the biggest upcoming plans is an adaptation of the “Myron Bolitar” series. This project will be developed by David E. Kelley and Kyle Long. The character is one of Coben’s most popular creations, appearing across multiple novels involving investigations, crime cases, and personal drama.
With “I Will Find You” already setting major viewership records, expectations are now growing for what Netflix will do next with Coben’s expanding universe of stories.
