Netflix’s New YA Horror Series ‘Wish Your Death’ Brings Chills with a Mysterious App and Rising Stars

Netflix is ready to explore the YA horror world with a new series called Wish Your Death (WT). This series mixes suspense and the supernatural, keeping viewers on the edge of their seats.

The story focuses on five high school friends who are warned of their impending death through a mysterious app that grants wishes. As they try to escape their fate, they begin to uncover dark secrets linking the app to the unexpected death of a classmate.

The cast is made up of fresh, rising stars and we can’t wait to see their performance:

Jeon So-young plays Se-ah, a talented track athlete at Seorin High. She becomes determined to uncover the secrets behind the wish-granting app.

Kang Mi-na, known for her roles in Welcome to Samdalri, Café Minamdang, and Hotel Del Luna, takes on the role of Na-ri, a popular girl who doesn’t believe in the app’s sinister reputation.

Baek Sun-ho, from Between Him and Her and Dongjae, the Good or the Bastard, stars as Geon-woo, Se-ah’s secret boyfriend. He struggles with Se-ah’s growing obsession with the app. Hyun Woo-seok, who has appeared in Time to Be Strong, Dolphin, and Cheer Up, plays Ha-joon, the group’s smart and logical thinker. He uses his coding skills to try and crack the app’s secrets.

Lee Hyo-je, who was in Hunted, Lost, and The Loop, portrays Hyeong-wook, a mischievous prankster who gets more than he bargained for after making a wish on the app.

The show is directed by Park Youn-seo, known for his work on Kingdom Season 2 and Moving. It’s produced by CJ ENM Studios and Kairos Makers.

This new series is part of the growing popularity of Korean dramas on Netflix. Over the past few years, we’ve seen a steady rise in Korean content on the streaming platform, from romance to action and, now, horror. The increasing demand for these dramas shows just how much viewers enjoy Korean storytelling.
