New promotional and merchandise artwork for “Avengers: Doomsday” has given fans a fresh look at several major Marvel characters ahead of the film’s release.

The images, which feature Doctor Doom, Mister Fantastic, Beast, The Thing, Cyclops, Captain America, Yelena Belova, and Thor, highlight just how massive the crossover story is shaping up to be.

The details come from newly surfaced official merch and promotional materials tied to Marvel Studios and Disney’s upcoming release.

“Avengers: Doomsday” is an upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, with a script by Michael Waldron and Stephen McFeely. The movie is planned as the next major chapter after “Avengers: Endgame” and continues the large-scale multiverse storyline that has been building across recent MCU projects. The film is produced by Marvel Studios and AGBO and will be released in theaters on December 18, 2026, according to Marvel Studios and Disney release plans.

The story brings together multiple hero groups from different universes. These include the Avengers and Wakandans from Earth-616, the New Avengers, the Fantastic Four from Earth-828, and the X-Men from another universe. All of them are forced to work together when Doctor Doom becomes a threat across realities. The character is played by Robert Downey Jr., returning to the MCU in a completely new role after previously playing Tony Stark.

The promotional art gives a clearer sense of the film’s tone and scale. Doctor Doom appears as the central figure, reinforcing his role as the main villain. Alongside him, Mister Fantastic, played by Pedro Pascal, is shown as one of the key scientific leaders of the team. The Fantastic Four lineup also includes Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as The Thing, and Joseph Quinn as Human Torch.

The artwork also highlights the return of several major X-Men characters. Kelsey Grammer appears as Beast, James Marsden as Cyclops, Ian McKellen as Magneto, Patrick Stewart as Professor X, Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler, Rebecca Romijn as Mystique, and Tenoch Huerta Mejía as Namor. Their inclusion signals a major crossover between Marvel’s past Fox-era films and the current MCU storyline.

Other heroes featured include Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Anthony Mackie as Captain America, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, and Letitia Wright as Shuri. The promotional materials suggest that these characters will all play a role in the fight against Doom, even though they come from very different corners of the Marvel universe.

The film’s premise centers on a multiversal crisis that forces heroes to unite against a common enemy. Early descriptions suggest that Doom’s arrival threatens the balance of all realities, pushing the Avengers, Fantastic Four, and X-Men into an uneasy alliance. The scale of the project makes it one of the largest ensemble casts in MCU history.

“Avengers: Doomsday” is currently in post-production, with filming having taken place in 2025 across locations in England and Bahrain. A sequel, “Avengers: Secret Wars,” is already scheduled for December 2027, continuing the multiverse storyline.

With new promotional art now circulating, fans are getting their clearest look yet at how Marvel plans to bring together decades of characters into one massive cinematic event.
