New Cast Members & Characters Revealed for Upcoming ‘Waller’

‘Waller’ was confirmed to be in development back in 2022 as a spinoff of ‘Peacemaker’, with Viola Davis reprising her role as the titular character, recently it’s been confirmed that the show will not be comedy-oriented as ‘Peacemaker’ as Waller is much more serious character, and the show will try to reflect that tone.

‘Waller’ was supposed to be released in 2024, but the fact that Gunn is now focusing on the rest of the DCU projects, the best-case scenario is that the show gets released in 2025, even though the 2024 release date is still present in some sources.

Since little is known regarding the overall plot of the movie, and the characters set to appear in it, we were delighted when new names appeared on the official IMDb page for the show. Mostly stunt-doubles are in question, but they do reveal what kind of characters we can expect.

Greg Fitzpatrick will be acting as a stunt double for Frank Grillo, Nhut Le will be a stunt actor for Vigilante, Cali Nelle will be acting as a stunt double for Djimon Hounsou, Christopher Tardieu will be a stunt double for Sebastian Faust with Nico Woulard being a stunt double for Corey Hawkins.

The name “Vigilante” refers to two different characters in the DC Universe. The original was Greg Sanders, a gun-slinging hero in the Old West who fought alongside his side-kick Stuff, the Chinatown Kid. He was a member of the All-Star Squadron and the Seven Soldiers of Victory.

The second Vigilante is Adrian Chase, a lawyer turned deadly anti-hero disillusioned with the justice system after his family’s killers went free. Chase’s actions inspired others to take up the Vigilante mantle after his death. He was associated with Checkmate and the Teen Titans.

Sebastian Faust, also known as Faust, is the son of Felix Faust and inherits his father’s powerful magic abilities. However, he faces challenges in distancing himself from his father’s evil deeds and proving himself a hero, particularly since his soul was bargained away to a demon by his father.

Both characters are expected to appear in a single episode. As far as the confirmed actors go, we don’t know which characters they will be playing but all are credited (for now) with a single episode.
