New Look At Elodie Yung’s Elektra Return In ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Season 3 Revealed
Marvel’s revival of the old Netflix corner of its universe has been building steadily for months, with ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ quietly assembling what has started to feel like a genuine Defenders reunion behind the scenes.
Season 3 has already confirmed returns for Mike Colter’s Luke Cage, Finn Jones’s Danny Rand, and Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones, each spotted filming on location well ahead of any official studio announcement.
That steady stream of Netflix era comebacks has now added its most anticipated name yet. New set photos and video circulating from the Season 3 production reveal Elodie Yung back in costume as Elektra Natchios, marking the character’s first appearance in the franchise since ‘The Defenders’ left her fate deliberately ambiguous nearly a decade ago.
The character’s ending on Netflix left plenty of room for exactly this kind of return. Elektra died fighting alongside the ninja assassins known as the Hand at the close of ‘Daredevil’ Season 2, only to be resurrected under the control of Sigourney Weaver’s villain Alexandra Reid, before her story concluded with her body never recovered following the Midland Circle collapse in ‘The Defenders’.
Early set sightings showed Yung concealed in a hooded cloak, but the latest round of photos leaves no ambiguity, showing her fully suited up in Elektra’s updated costume. The new look blends her classic comic book aesthetic with the grounded, tactical style established by the Netflix and MCU Daredevil series, featuring a deep red and black color scheme, a sleeveless vest with red accents, black leather pants, and red forearm wraps paired with fingerless gloves.

That redesign marks a clear evolution from the costume she wore during her original run on the Netflix show.
Some of the newest footage goes a step further, capturing Yung filming alongside Charlie Cox’s Daredevil directly, giving fans their clearest indication yet that Elektra’s return will bring her back into direct contact with Matt Murdock rather than existing on the sidelines of the season. Marvel Studios has not issued any official confirmation of her involvement, with everything currently coming from location filming caught on camera in New York City and Brooklyn.
Beyond her reunion with Daredevil, reports have also suggested the season could pit Elektra against Bullseye in a fight sequence, adding another layer of tension to a season already juggling Wilson Fisk’s continued arc, Matt Murdock’s uncertain future, and the wider Defenders reassembling. That kind of packed roster fits the broader pattern Season 3 has established, leaning heavily into nostalgia for the Netflix era while folding those characters fully into the mainline Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Are you excited to see Elodie Yung return as Elektra in ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Season 3?
With filming still ongoing and a premiere date reportedly set for March 2027, fans can expect plenty more set photos to leak before Marvel ever confirms these castings through official channels. For a character whose fate had remained genuinely unresolved for years, seeing Yung back in action alongside Cox feels like one of the more satisfying payoffs of this entire Netflix reunion arc.
