New Superman Movie Gains Buzz, Climbs Entertainment Hype Rankings Ahead of July Release

What are people most excited to watch right now? It’s the kind of question that studios, advertisers, and entertainment sites are always asking. Thanks to a weekly report called ScreenShare, put together by Screen Engine/ASI and TheWrap, we can get a pretty good idea of what’s grabbing attention.

This report looks at the top 10 entertainment titles that fans are talking about each week, whether they’re movies, shows, or even sports. It also tracks how much each title is gaining or losing momentum compared to the week before. The chart is featured on the Data & Analysis page of the WrapPRO Members Hub.

Right now, Disney’s live-action Lilo & Stitch is holding strong at the number one spot, while Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning from Paramount sits right behind it at number two. Both films performed well over Memorial Day weekend and still seem to be riding that success.

A surprise jump comes from Sinners, which moved up four spots to take third place. Its digital release just dropped on June 3, so that buzz makes sense. Right after that is NBA Basketball, moving into fourth place as fans gear up for the finals between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Indiana Pacers. The series starts June 5, and the excitement is clearly building.

The new Superman film from Warner Bros. is also gaining steam. It’s now sitting at number five, even though it’s still over a month away from its July 11 release. Meanwhile, Final Destination: Bloodlines, which has made the most money out of the whole franchise, has slipped slightly to sixth place.

A Minecraft Movie has been picking up attention again after its premium digital release. It’s currently sitting at number seven, with more buzz expected as it heads for a physical release later this month. Just behind it is Jurassic World Rebirth, which has entered the list for the first time at number eight. This sequel to Jurassic World Dominion hits theaters on July 2.

On the TV side, Max’s The Last of Us has dropped to number nine, right after the season two finale. And finally, Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale returns to the list at number ten, following the series finale that aired on May 27.
