‘Off Campus’ Star Mika Abdalla Shares Her Paris Packing Chaos in a Studded Black Two-Piece
Paris Fashion Week kicked off in grand style with L’Oréal Paris Le Défilé, an open-air runway show staged at Place Joffre between the Eiffel Tower and the École Militaire. The ninth edition carried the theme “Express Your Worth” and officially opened Paris Fashion Week, which runs through Oct. 6. The show is open to the public and livestreamed worldwide.
One of the faces on that runway was Mika Abdalla. Best known as Allie Hayes in Prime Video’s ‘Off Campus,’ she made her Paris Fashion Week debut on Sept. 28 in an ivory satin gown, joining a lineup that included Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Kendall Jenner, Eva Longoria, Viola Davis, Cara Delevingne and Simone Ashley. Céline Dion made a surprise appearance to close the show.
Now Abdalla is sharing the less glamorous side of the trip. In a new Instagram post, she captioned a photo of herself with “3 girls, 8 suitcases, 2 minutes,” a joke that captures the logistics behind a fashion week trip. The picture shows her standing on a balcony in front of a marble column, hands on her hips, with trees and blue sky behind her.
The look is a black two-piece covered in scattered metallic studs. The camisole-style top, with thin straps and a cropped hem, is paired with a matching low-rise skirt that falls to the floor. Her long dark hair is worn loose and center-parted, and her expression is pure editorial.
The post took off quickly. It gathered more than 362,000 likes and over 800 comments within about two hours, with friends and followers chiming in with playful reactions. The caption’s deadpan tone seems to have struck a chord with anyone who has ever tried to pack for a trip with friends.
It also fits the moment. Abdalla’s Paris trip comes as her career is entering a bigger chapter. Her breakout this year as Allie Hayes in ‘Off Campus’ introduced her to a much wider audience, and her performance earned critical praise.
The next step is already in motion. Season 2 of ‘Off Campus’ will see Allie take center stage alongside Stephen Kalyn’s Dean Di Laurentis, which gives the Paris appearance extra weight as her biggest storyline is about to begin.
It is a long way from where she started. Abdalla first gained attention in 2015 for her role as the lead spy in the Netflix series ‘Project Mc²,’ and her acting career stalled after the show ended. She earned a philosophy degree from UCLA while building the foundation for the role that changed everything.
The runway debut and the packing post show how comfortable she has become in the spotlight. With roughly 2 million Instagram followers, a quirky caption can travel as far as a gown. For now, fans are enjoying the behind-the-scenes look, and a studded black set that looks like it took far more than two minutes to pull together.
