‘One Piece’ Drops Thrilling First Look Trailer for Egghead Arc After Six-Month Pause
After a six-month break, One Piece is back with a fresh look at the Egghead Arc, and fans are getting their first glimpse of what’s next in the story.
The anime had spent some time on a flashback during the start of Part 2 of the Egghead Arc, but now the focus is shifting back to the present day, right on Dr. Vegapunk’s island laboratory.
The latest episode brought an emotional moment when Kuma and Bonney finally reunited after years apart, something that fans had seen teased during the flashback. This reunion sets up the big action ahead in the Egghead Arc. To get viewers excited, One Piece released a new teaser trailer showing some of the fights that are coming up.
Along with the teaser, the anime also revealed a first look at its new opening theme song called “CARMINE,” performed by the band ELLEGARDEN. The exact episode where the new opening will start hasn’t been shared yet, but it’s expected to arrive this summer.
This timing makes sense since the flashbacks are done, and the story is heating up with Luffy and the Straw Hats trying to escape the dangers on the island.

In the recent episodes, Kuma managed to deal damage to the powerful St. Saturn, but the villain quickly healed, making it look like nothing happened. Because of this, the Straw Hats are no longer planning to fight one of the Five Elders head-on. Instead, their main goal is to escape, which won’t be easy. The Marines have launched a massive Buster Call, a military attack designed to completely destroy Egghead Island.
The new opening theme and possible new ending song signal big changes are coming. The Buster Call was triggered because the Marines see the situation on Egghead as a huge threat. Dr. Vegapunk has been uncovering the true history of the world, Luffy has gained new powers thanks to his Gear Fifth form, and Kuma has reunited with his daughter, all major problems the Marines want to stop. Now, Luffy and the Straw Hats are caught in a deadly race to escape while the Buster Call attack tears the island apart.
