Season 2 is set to continue following Luffy and the Straw Hats as they sail into the Grand Line, a legendary sea filled with danger, strange islands, and powerful new enemies.

According to the show’s synopsis, this part of the journey marks both a farewell to the crew’s past adventures and the start of a bigger, more intense chapter.

Joe Tracz, co-showrunner, writer, and executive producer for the show, spoke about the importance of Loguetown. “Loguetown is known as ‘the town of the beginning and the end’, so it’s the perfect place to kick off a new season. It’s a city packed with history, fun, and surprises — some that fans may guess, and a few you won’t see coming,” he said in a statement to IGN.

He added, “As the last stop before the Grand Line, Loguetown is both a farewell to the past and the start of a new adventure for our Straw Hats. Their world is about to get bigger, the stakes higher, and the villains even more formidable. And it all begins here, setting the stage for the unforgettable journey ahead!”

Actor Iñaki Godoy, who plays Monkey D. Luffy, shared his excitement for the season. “In the time between Season 1 and Season 2, the crew, cast, and I were able to connect more deeply with each other, with the world of One Piece, and with what the show asks of us,” Godoy said.

“More than anything, I’m just excited for audiences to see something we all feel so proud of. And yes, you can definitely look forward to Luffy eating even more this season!”

Filming for Season 2 began in June 2024 and is expected to wrap by the end of the year, with the new season scheduled to premiere in 2026.

The cast has expanded significantly, including returning favorites and new characters like Mr. 3, Smoker, Miss Wednesday, and Crocus, bringing the world of One Piece to life with a mix of familiar faces and fresh talent.

These new images of Loguetown give fans a clear idea of how the live-action series is reimagining the iconic location, blending its rich history with a sense of adventure and danger.
