‘One Punch Man’ Season 3 Finally Gets a Release Date
Fans of One-Punch Man can finally mark their calendars. Viz Media has announced that the long-awaited third season of the hit anime will premiere on October 12.
According to Viz Media, the new season will stream on several major platforms around the world. In the United States, it will be available on Hulu, while Canadian fans can watch it on Disney+.
Netflix will carry the series in Latin America, Australia, and New Zealand, and Crunchyroll will stream it for audiences in Latin America and Oceania.
This global rollout is a big step for the franchise, which has become one of the most popular anime series in recent years. One-Punch Man tells the story of Saitama, a superhero so strong that he defeats every enemy with just one punch, leading him to struggle with boredom and purpose.
Season 3 continues the intense Monster Association arc. The story follows top-ranked S-class heroes as they join forces to rescue a hostage from a powerful group of monsters. Meanwhile, Garou, known as the “human monster,” wakes up in the Monster Association’s hideout after being captured during a fight.
The anime is based on the manga created by One and illustrated by Yusuke Murata. The manga has been a massive hit, with more than 35 million copies sold worldwide. It’s published digitally on Shueisha’s webcomic site, Tonari No Young Jump.
The cast and crew from the previous seasons are returning. Makoto Furukawa is back as Saitama, and Kaito Ishikawa will once again voice Genos. The new season is directed by Shinpei Nagai, with Tomohiro Suzuki handling series composition. Animation is being produced by J.C. STAFF.
For those who want to catch up, the first two seasons of One-Punch Man are available to stream on Hulu in the U.S. and on Netflix in Canada and Latin America. The series can also be purchased digitally on Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Google TV, and Fandango at Home.
The new season’s release is sure to excite fans who’ve been waiting years to see what happens next in Saitama’s story. With its worldwide streaming plan and returning team, it looks like One-Punch Man is ready to punch its way back to the top this fall.
