Deadpool 3’ is one of the most anticipated sequels Marvel Studios is currently developing. The movie’s production was lucky enough that the scripts were finished before the WGA strike. However, the main star Ryan Reynolds is not allowed to improvise his lines while the strike is ongoing. Will that affect the movie’s quality as a whole? We won’t know before next May.

After the latest reshuffle of Marvel Studios’ release schedule, while all the other MCU movies have been delayed (except this year’s ‘The Marvels’), ‘Deadpool 3’ has been moved up six months, from November to May 2024. The movie is currently in production, and theoretically, it could be ready for release on time, but some fans are still concerned that the movie’s production is being rushed, which may affect the movie’s final quality in a negative way.

Is the ‘Deadpool 3’ production being rushed to meet the planned release date?

‘Deadpool 3’ is expected to be an ultimate gift to Marvel fans for a number of reasons. Apart from the fact that Ryan Reynolds’ Merc with a Mouth is joining the biggest movie franchise in Hollywood and the fact that it’s going to be the first R-rated Marvel movie, Deadpool 3 will also see the return of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, which certainly makes fans excited, but it could easily be a double-edged sword since we initially all said farewell to Jackman’s Logan in a very emotional ending of one of the greatest superhero movies ever made.

The plot of ‘Deadpool 3’ is still kept under wraps, but there are many rumors and reports that we can expect another Multiverse movie, which makes perfect sense since this movie is bringing Regenerating Degenerate to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. According to @AlexFromCC, one-third of the movie will be shot in a similar way the post-credit scene of ‘Deadpool 2’ was filmed.

As we remember, archive footage from 2009’s ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’ was used when Deadpool arrived to kill that movie’s Wade Wilson to “fix up the timeline.” It seems that ‘Deadpool 3’ could do the same, but on a much higher level, with other movies from Fox’s ‘X-Men’ franchise.

Apart from Reynolds and Jackman, ‘Deadpool 3’ will also see the return of Morena Baccarin, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, Brianna Hildebrand, Shioli Kutsuna, Stefan Kapičić, and Rob Delaney. Some rumors even mention certain cast members’ return from the original X-Men movies, but we’re still taking that with a grain of salt.

Shawn Levy, who previously worked with Reynolds on ‘Free Guy’ and ‘The Adam Project,’ has signed to direct ‘Deadpool 3’ from the script written by himself, Reynolds, Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and Zeb Wells. ‘Deadpool 3’ is currently in production and will be released on May 3, 2024.
