Paramount+ has released the first trailer for The Crow Girl Season 2, giving fans a preview of the next chapter in the dark British crime drama. According to Paramount+, the new season will premiere on July 20 in the UK and Ireland, with Eve Myles and Katherine Kelly returning in the lead roles.

The trailer opens with the chilling line, “Justice will be hers,” setting the tone for another disturbing investigation. Season 2 follows DCI Jeanette Kilburn, played by Eve Myles, and psychiatrist Dr. Sophia Craven, played by Katherine Kelly, as they are pulled into a new and dangerous case that quickly becomes more personal than either of them expected.

This time, Kilburn is investigating the murders of young male asylum seekers. The case takes an unexpected turn after workers discover a mummified body hidden inside the wall of a church. Soon after, another body is found inside a freezer, and detectives realize the two discoveries are connected. As the investigation continues, old secrets begin to surface, making the case even more complicated.

At the same time, Sophia Craven starts to believe that someone from her own past could be involved. She becomes increasingly suspicious of her former patient, Victoria Burkeman, whose mysterious history raises new questions. As Sophia follows the clues, she also finds herself growing closer to Jeanette, with their already complicated relationship becoming even more emotionally intense.

The newly released trailer hints at another season filled with psychological twists, dark crimes, and difficult choices. While it avoids revealing major plot details, it makes it clear that the investigation will push both women to their limits.

The Crow Girl first premiered on Paramount+ as one of the platform’s original British dramas. The first season was based on the bestselling novel by Swedish writing duo Erik Axl Sund. The story introduced viewers to a dark world of murder investigations, trauma, and psychological suspense, earning attention from crime drama fans.

Unlike the first season, which adapted the original novel, Season 2 continues with an original story created for television. This allows the series to expand beyond the source material while keeping the same characters and dark atmosphere that attracted viewers during its debut season.

The series is written by Milly Thomas, who is also known for her acting work in productions including The Crown and Sex Education. The show is produced by Buccaneer Media in association with ITV Studios, which is also handling international distribution.

The Crow Girl has become one of Paramount+’s notable original dramas in the UK. It also survived a period when the streaming service reduced its investment in original programming and canceled several projects, including The Doll Factory. The renewal for a second season showed that the series had built enough interest to continue.

With a fresh mystery, returning lead characters, and a darker story ahead, Season 2 looks ready to deliver another tense thriller. The new trailer suggests viewers can expect unsettling discoveries, emotional conflicts, and a complex investigation that keeps everyone guessing until the end.

The Crow Girl Season 2 premieres on Paramount+ on July 20 in the UK and Ireland. According to Paramount+, the new season will consist of six episodes and continue the story of Jeanette Kilburn and Sophia Craven as they face their most dangerous case yet.
