Patrick J. Adams Pushes for ‘Suits’ Revival With Meghan Markle’s Character in the Mix: “Get the Band Back Together”
Patrick J. Adams has publicly shared his own ideas for a possible Suits revival, and his version brings back several key characters from the original series, including Meghan Markle’s Rachel Zane.
Adams posted a detailed pitch on his Instagram Stories on Friday, July 3, where he imagined a new storyline for the legal drama. In his idea, his character Mike Ross and Rachel Zane are now working together on a major legal case involving a powerful artificial intelligence company. As he described it, “Mike [Ross, played by Adams] and Rachel [Zane, played by Meghan] are working on a class action suit against a giant AI company…”
He expanded the storyline further, suggesting that this case could reopen unresolved issues from the past involving the original firm Pearson Hardman. In his pitch, Adams wrote that the fallout from old decisions could put several main characters in danger. He mentioned Harvey Specter, Donna Paulsen, Jessica Pearson, and Louis Litt, saying their personal and professional lives could all be affected if past actions were exposed.
Adams added that Mike’s sense of justice would once again bring the group back together. He suggested the revival could focus on the team trying to fix past mistakes while also navigating a modern legal world shaped by technology and corporate power. He also joked about including familiar elements from the original show, such as character humor, relationship developments, and even potential spinoff stories in different cities. He ended his pitch by writing, “Sort of writes itself. Let’s go. I’m ready.”
In a follow-up post, Adams clarified that he does not know of any official revival plans. He noted that as far as he is aware, there are currently no active projects involving the original cast returning, especially after the cancellation of the spinoff Suits: LA.
He added that he still believes a reunion could work, pointing to the continued popularity of the original series. Suits, which originally aired from 2011 to 2019 on USA Network, saw a major resurgence in popularity after it arrived on Netflix in 2023. The show quickly climbed streaming charts and introduced a new audience to the legal drama years after its finale.

The series followed Mike Ross, a brilliant college dropout who begins working at a top New York law firm despite never attending law school. It also starred Gabriel Macht as Harvey Specter, Sarah Rafferty as Donna Paulsen, Gina Torres as Jessica Pearson, Rick Hoffman as Louis Litt, and Meghan Markle as Rachel Zane.
The renewed interest in the show even led to the development of Suits: LA, a spinoff centered on a new group of characters in Los Angeles. However, that series was canceled after one season in 2025.

Despite the cancellation, Adams has previously expressed interest in revisiting the original cast in some form, including the possibility of a Suits movie. While nothing has been confirmed, his latest pitch shows that enthusiasm for bringing the franchise back remains strong among at least part of its original cast.
