Paulina Porizkova Celebrates 61st Birthday in a Tiny Bikini and Sends a Strong Message on Aging
Paulina Porizkova marked her 61st birthday by sharing a personal and emotional message with her followers online. According to her social media post on Wednesday, April 8, she posted a video of herself wearing a red and white striped bikini while reflecting on her life, career, and confidence.
In the video, she spoke openly about how she feels today compared to when she was younger. She explained that even during the peak of her modeling career, she often struggled with insecurity.
She said, “I will be 61 tomorrow, and I understand this might sound crazy to you, but 40 years ago, when I was 21 and when I was at the height of my career and supermodeldom, that was when I felt the most insecure.”
Porizkova also shared that the pressure of the fashion industry made her feel like she was never enough. She described how she constantly compared herself to others and relied heavily on outside approval during that time. Over the years, she says she has worked on changing that mindset and becoming more comfortable with herself.
Now in her sixties, she says her focus has shifted. Instead of chasing perfection, she prioritizes strength, health, and feeling good in her own body. While speaking in the video, she also joked about her fitness routine and future plans, saying, “Actually, who am I kidding? I kicked my workout up like 10 notches because I do want to look my best this summer, but not necessarily in a bikini… in a wedding dress.” She ended the clip with a light moment and a kiss.
Her comment about a wedding dress refers to her engagement to screenwriter Jeff Greenstein. The couple got engaged in July 2025 after being together for several years. They often share parts of their relationship publicly, including moments from their joint podcast and everyday life.
Porizkova’s message was not just about appearance but about how she sees aging. She has often spoken about rejecting traditional beauty standards and focusing instead on self-acceptance.
Her recent post continues that message, showing how her mindset has changed since her early career. Alongside her work on social media, she is also returning to acting. She recently filmed a Czech-language movie called Bardotky, directed by Hana Hendrychová.
The film also stars Czech actresses Eva Holubová and Dagmar Havlová and focuses on three women navigating life in their sixties. It is currently in post-production and is expected to be released later this year.
She also continues to work with major beauty brands as a global ambassador. In that role, she promotes more realistic and natural representations of older women in media campaigns.
As she steps into a new chapter of life, including upcoming wedding plans and new film projects, her latest birthday message shows a clear focus on confidence, honesty, and self-acceptance rather than outside expectations.
