Netflix is bringing back the world of Money Heist, also known as La Casa de Papel, and it is not stopping anytime soon. According to Netflix Spain and information shared during a public event in Seville, the franchise is getting more projects and a bigger connected universe.

The announcement was not quiet at all. Netflix held a large public stunt in Seville, Spain on May 9th. People standing along the Guadalquivir River saw a boat pass by with performers dressed in the famous red jumpsuits and Dalí masks from the show. The song “Bella Ciao” played as the crowd watched the scene. It was used to confirm that the story world is continuing.

Netflix also released a new trailer. In the trailer description, the company explains that the story of Money Heist has grown over time and will keep going. It says, “Some stories begin with a perfect heist. And this one changed everything. From the first robbery for cash to the most artistic heist of the century… the world of ‘Money Heist’ has never stopped growing, evolving, and surprising.”

It continues, “But if one thing is clear… it’s that the revolution NEVER ends. From now on, this is the central hub for everything related to the ‘Money Heist’ universe. If you want to be part of the next plan and not miss a single move by the gang, this is the place to be. The ‘Money Heist’ universe continues on Netflix.”

The announcement comes just before the release of the next season of the spin-off series Berlin, which focuses on one of the most popular characters from the original show. The new season is called Berlin and the Lady with the Ermine and is expected to release on May 15th.

Netflix has not said exactly what the next project will be after that. It could be another spin-off, a new story, or something connected to the main series again. The company only confirmed that more is coming from this universe.

Netflix also pointed to how successful the franchise has been over the years. According to data shared by Netflix at the event, the original show remains one of its most-watched non-English series. It has reached billions of viewing hours worldwide and continues to stay popular even years after ending.

The spin-off Berlin also performed strongly when it launched. It reached the top of Netflix charts in many countries and stayed in global rankings for weeks after release.

Based on Netflix’s own statements and the Seville event coverage, the platform is clearly planning to keep expanding the Money Heist world instead of ending it.
